From the sound of his promo this past Wednesday, especially the "your pedestrian lives" line, it seems to me that when Matt Hardy returns to an AEW ring, it'll be as a heel. The Jon Moxely/Kenny Omega story is compelling. As we brace for "Winter Is Coming" this Wednesday, it sure seems that we might be in for a new AEW Champion, don't you think? Now that Kenny is "The Cleaner" again, it just seems right. WWE wrote Seth out so he could be with Becky. I can only assume AEW will do the same for Jon during pregnancy.
Now that he's in Team Taz, it appears that Will Hobbs is going by Powerhouse Hobbs. Folks, that's stupid. WWE out there messing with people's names(Riddle) and you're all up in arms about it. You need to give AEW down the road as well. Even hearing Ricky Starks say "Powerhouse Hobbs" Wednesday night, I was embarrassed. I really hope they give him his name back. Riddle=Powerhouse Hobbs. What's next? We gonna change everybody to just one name?
After Smackdown last night, it's a pretty safe assumption that Kevin Owens will be the next to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. To that I say. it's about time. He won't win the championship, of course. It will be a good feud nonetheless. Imagine the promos between Owens and Heyman. Talk about entertaining!
I am certainly looking forward to this week in wrestling! Will we see a new AEW Champion? What will happen next in the Roman Reigns/Jey Uso saga that now involves Kevin Owens? Next week will be the War Games column. hopefully Shotzi's team gets filled out this Wednesday. Or maybe she'll have a few mystery partners that we won't know about until the match occurs. I guess we'll all find out together.
