Wrestle Review: Returns and Flubs
Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 01/12/2020 at 09:10 PM

#RIP La Parka

Lately I haven't gotten into Monday Night Raw. Sure I'll watch it because I want to keep up with what's going on. Raw and Smackdown did feature some old faces returning. The Big Show returned to WWE for the 10,000th time(maybe more) to assist Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe against Seth "Vince calls me Jesus" Rollins and AOP. Now they're going to have a fist fight tomorrow night on Raw. I was especially embarrassed for Jerry Lawler when he seemed to ask "what's a fist fight". Really? I'll likely be watching the National Championship game this week so Raw will be watched on DVR, as is usually the case.

Last week on Smackdown, John Morrison made his long-awaited return to the blue brand. Miz had just lost to Kofi Kingston, threw a little Miz tantrum, went to the back and was met by John Morrison. Morrison was Miz' guest on Miz TV and Miz and Morrison was reborn. And all of the sudden they get a tag title match against New Day. Well, not all the sudden because one team member beat a member of the other team. So, are Miz and Morrison going to win tag gold in their first match back as a team?

I'm burying the lead here and I really don't know what to say about the recent story that came out yesterday but....Tessa Blanchard....WOW! I wonder if Impact had designs on putting the world title on her(I don't think they did). And I wonder if they changed their mind after yesterday's allegations. I mean, technically they aren't allegations. I saw the tweets. That stuff doesn't die.

I said something about this on my twitter Monday night but....WWE Champion Brock Lesnar announcing he's entering the Royal Rumble first got me a little mad. Then I thought, "hey, have someone(or someone's) eliminate him and hereby becoming his challenger at WrestleMania. I vote Drew McIntyre. Who wouldn't want to see Beast vs Scottish Psychopath-providing Drew wins the title, of course. I have a sinking suspicion Lesnar walks out of WrestleMania with the WWE Championship no matter who he faces.

No Hard to Kill preview because, let's face it, you're watching it at the moment if you'd already planned on it. Until next week, be true to yourself. Peace out.
