Wrestle Review: We're Here!
Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 11/23/2019 at 02:50 PM

Survivor Series weekend is upon us! We begin with NXT Takeover tonight. One of the biggest questions of the weekend is "who will fill out Team Ciampa tonight"? It was going to be Matt Riddle. Fin Balor attacked him. Actually, I think the brass decided to put him against Fin tonight one-on-one. So He was taken out of the match. We were then left with Ciampa basically needing to rebuild his team from scratch.

Ciampa welcome Dominic Dijakovic into the fold, which gave Team Ciampa three guys, along with Keith Lee. I'm glad to see Lee get a ppv rub. Who is the fourth man, though? There's speculation it'll be John Morrison. Would he be Johnny Takeover? Johnny Gargano is already Johnny Takeover. If he returns, he could turn heel and feud with the other Johnny for the Takeover moniker. Okay, that's WCW thinking. Forget I said that.

Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim vs Baszler, Shirai, Belair and Kay Lee Ray should kick off the show. I can never pick a War Games match. I can only tell you that it should be nuts and I can't wait!

Matt Riddle vs Fin Balor is one match that I can, with about 99% certainty, say that Fin Balor will win. this is the man's first Takeover match since returning to the NXT brand. Do you think he's losing? Me neither. The match itself should be spectacular as should the entire evening! Pete Dunne, Killian Dain and Punishment Martinez, I mean Damien Priest, will battle to determine who faces Adam Cole at Survivor Series the following night for the NXT Championship. I'd love any one of these three facing Cole but I see Dunne vs Cole. That would be an insane match!

In addition to Adam Cole defending the NXT Championship at Survivor Series-the first time such the NXT title has been defended on a "big 4" show-the Survivor Series is looking pretty stacked as well. AJ vs Shinsuke vs Roderick Strong is a dream match. Well, it's one of many happening tomorrow night. I bet they run a tally on the side of the screen and keep up with which brand wins the most matches. What this will come down to is the backup-UE vs The Club. I think Roderick Strong gets the win.

The UE train will likely keep rolling as I'm picking the UE to win over the Viking/War Raiders and New Day.

As for the singles elimination match: Seth, Orton, KO, Ricochet and Drew vs Reigns, Stroman, Corbin, Gable and Ali will likely end with Roman Reigns being the sole survivor. Just a guess. The NXT members haven't even been named yet. Element of surprise, I guess. Perhaps it'll be the team who wins War Games tonight?

Charlotte, Asuka, Nattie, Sane and...from out of nowhere...Sarah Logan vs Sasha, Lacey, Mella, Dana and Nikki vs NXT...well I wouldn't be surprised to see Banks bail because, well, c'mon. I wouldn't be shocked to see NXT run roughshod over Raw and Smackdown tomorrow night.

Becky and Bayley are in for a hurting. Shayna Baszler(who, if she gets take to Raw or SmackDown, will probably be Shayna B) should end up with the win here. That's my take.

The Universal and WWE Championships will both be on the line tomorrow night. Daniel Bryan has the unenviable distinction of being The Fiend Bray Wyatt's first victim, I mean challenger. Maybe he'll at least surprise and put up a fight. Fiend retains.

When Brock Lesnar vs Rey Mysterio for the Universal Championship was announced, my initial reaction was "you got to be kidding me! This "match" will last 3 minutes at best. Then they made it a no holds barred match. Now I'm upping the time. Instead of Brock winning in 3 minutes, I say Brock wins in 10. No matter the time, Braun retains.

There are lots of questions to be answered and mysteries to be solved over this historic weekend of wrestling. No question there's smoothing for everyone these next two night.
