Wrestle Review:: Undeniable
Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 07/20/2019 at 01:18 AM

I liked the concept of Impact Friday: the Mashup they called it where they team enemies with each other. The twist of the winning team of the tournament fighting for a shot at the World Championship is interesting. I've really enjoyed the Tessa Blanchard/Sami Callahan angle. Now that it's Callahan/Blanchard II on August 2 at Unbreakable, what would the shockwaves be around the wrestling world if Tessa Blanchard became #1 contender to the World Championship? It'd be pretty cool.

I really was hoping that "Extreme" Rules would be the last we'd see of Shane McMahon for awhile but NOOOO. He'll probably have himself a steel cage match with Kevin Owens at SummerSlam. Well, chances are it'll just be a regular one-on-one. I'd make it a steel cage match. Actually, I'd also make it a #1 contender match. We're all about cheering fan favorite Owens. And for some reason, the same fans that were dying for Kofi Kingston to get his shot and become WWE Champion are now, just three months after winning the title, sick of it, People are saying it's a boring run. Whatever. What will be the consensus when Shane McMahon is the one to pin Kofi and become champion? You guys know it's coming, right?

I never thought I'd say I was tired of Seth Rollins' run as Universal Champion. That said, my sentiment when Brock Lesnar cashed in on Rollins to become Universal Champion again was one of disappointed but not surprised. I do think that how they just obliterated Sami Zayn out of the picture is straight garbage. Remember, he was supposed to be in the MITB match until Lesnar took him out and took his spot. Now that Seth won the #1 contender battle royal, looks like we get Brock beating Seth again at SummerSlam. Yippee.....

Bray Wyatt finally showing up on Raw and attacking Fin Balor leads me to believe that we are heading towards The Fiend vs The Demon at SummerSlam with the Fiend almost assuredly winning. I've been reading that Fin wants some time off, so I figure his last match for awhile will be at SummerSlam. Of course, I heard Shane's tag match against Taker and Roman would be his last for awhile and there he was two days later. Nobody knows anything, really. We're all just having fun and guessing, hoping and wishing.

I'm behind on my New Japan viewing, two behind as a matter of fact. I'm a couple behind on NXT as well. Life happens, you know? In closing, I wonder what we see this week? Seth running down Brock and Brock not showing up is the name of that tune. And when/if he does show up(the Monday before SummerSlam, probably) he'll get a curb stomp on Raw and win at SummerSlam. As far as what we see on Smackdown? Your guess is as good as mine. Should be an interesting week of As The Wrestling World Turns!
