Wrestle Review: It's Real!
Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 05/11/2019 at 12:52 AM

The big news of the last few days is that All Elite Wrestling now has a television deal. If that wasn't big enough, the deal is with Turner! Having an owner richer than Vince McMahon pays dividends, huh? AND, they will be on tv this fall. The first question from most fans on social media was about the night. Would they dare go head-to-head with WWE and get Monday or Tuesday? Would they compete with Impact and go for Friday? Time will tell. Honestly, no matter the night, another wrestling company is good for all involved: wrestler and fan alike!

The second big AEW bit of news is that fans can watch Double Or Nothing for free on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter for free. I'm looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table.

These WWE careers died peacefully this past Monday: The Revival and Sami Zayn. You can probably add Braun Stroman to that list. I can't help but think that things like having your tag partner shave your back live(Revival) and being thrown in a dumpster(Zayn) aren't the best career trajectories. But wait! Maybe there's hope for Zayn yet. Just a day later, he was involved in a triple threat match for the WWE Championship. WWE logic, huh?

And let's discuss that wildcard rule for a bit. Five superstars, it was going to be three but Lars Sullivan(of all people) changed Vince's mind. I guess so he can go on both shows and bore people. I mean, hurt people. Whatever.

I'm just finishing watching Impact(it did record for me this week). Are they turning Tessa Blanchard....face? She sounded less heelish on commentary than she ever had sounded. Or we're in that world where there is no face and heel. That's more likely.

That's all for this week!
