Jay's Ways - Top 5 Female Wrestlers Of 2018
Submitted by Justin Watry on 01/23/2019 at 10:22 PM

Quick recap: I listed The New Day as the most over rated act of 2018, and my match of the year is Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H from WWE WrestleMania 34.

Onto the next award!

Top 5 Female Wrestlers Of 2018

5. Asuka
4. Becky Lynch
3. Alexa Bliss
2. Charlotte

1. Ronda Rousey - Okay, this may be the most difficult category to fill out. Before getting to my top choice, let me just say that this is for the entire YEAR, RIGHT? The ENTIRE full calendar! Not just the last three months, correct? Okay, Becky Lynch did all of nothing until the end of summer, so she does not deserve the number one spot. That is just the reality. I am big fan like everybody else, but we need to be fair and follow the guidelines. Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Charlotte, and Ronda Rousey stole headlines and delivered inside the squared circle all year long in big spots. Becky is just getting there now and is certainly in line for a MONSTER 2019! Seriously, I imagine a WrestleMania main event and much more for her in the coming months, so do not take this as a negative at all. I am ALL IN on her vs. Rousey come April. For 2018 though, the entire women's division was about The Rowdy One coming in and taking over. She has more than lived up to expectations and is by far the top star. As great as Asuka was in the beginning of the year and late in 2018, she stumbled in the middle parts. Same will Bliss for various reasons. If anybody even comes close, it is Charlotte Flair - which I wrote about last week. Excellent year for the women, closing out with three straight RAW main events and their own PPV in October. A WM main event is next...
