Wrestle Review: Fight Roman Fight!
Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 10/26/2018 at 11:12 PM

I was stunned as the rest of the wrestling world when Joe Anoa'i announced Monday on Raw that he has leukemia. Joe's announcement is proof that we have no idea what others are going through. It also proves that Supermen are humans, to. Go, fight and win, Roman. You got this!

At the end of that same night, it finally happened. And it happened in a brilliant way. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins dedicated their tag team title match to Roman. Dean and Seth won the tag titles. Soon after, Dean dropped Seth with Dirty Deeds. I believe my exact words were "Wow! It's about freaking time"!

This Monday has to kick off with Dean Ambrose, right? I'm also interested in seeing what happens next because Dean and Seth are now the tag team champions again. Is this going to be an Austin/HBK situation, in that they're contentious champions? That would be an interesting way to go. I don't know if they will, though. Dean and Seth will soon drop the titles. They will then feud for the Intercontinental Championship. Remember the last feud they had for the title? I can't wait for this one!

Sunday is Evolution. It was going to be Alexa Bliss and Mickie James vs Trish and Lita. Well, Alexa is injured and, in her place....Alicia Fox(?) No offense but my excitement for this match just dropped a bit. Hey, we get to see Trish and Lita, Team Bestie, again. That's all that matters, really. I pick Trish and Lita to win. They wouldn't bring them back just to lose, right?

I'm picking Asuka to win the battle royal. Why? Basically because I'd love for them to give Asuka a proper story again. Will that happen? Maybe.

Sasha, Bayley and Natalya will lose to the Riott Squad. I think Sasha and Bayley will have another bust-up and the Squad will take advantage.

I pick Toni Storm to win the finals of the Mae Young Classic. Shayna Baszler will win the NXT Women's Championship. Becky vs Charlotte Last Woman Standing for the Smackdown Women's Championship will steal the show. I'm looking forward to a blockbuster match! I think Becky comes out on top once again.

Ronda vs Nikki is the main event for the Raw women's championship. I know this match not set well with a lot of people. That'll certainly be the case if the Bella's do their twin magic and win the championship. You know what, though? I totally see that happening. At least that's how I would play it if I were booking. I'm thinking Evolution signs off with a very angry Ronda chasing the Bella's out of the building. Of course, I could be wrong about all of this. That's the fun of predictions.

As far as Impact Wrestling is concerned, it would seem like Austin Aries has been CM Punk'd, meaning that he's gone and they aren't talking. But wait, they still talk about Punk. In fact, this whole Best in the World/World Cup mess is pretty much another way to jab at the guy(in a way). It's sad, really. Anyway, back to Impact.

Johnny Impact and Fenix was a very good match, as advertised. The ending was marred by, of all teams, LAX. I wonder where this goes? What are they doing with Eli Drake? This guy used to be their world champion. Now he's "suing the company". Obviously this is storyline. Now, I think he should win and his provision is getting a world title match. He steals the title and holds the company up. That's how I'd book the angle. Again, they won't do that.

I love the Allie stuff! It really is one of the best angles of the show. I'm wondering when Roesmary returns to save Allie. You know that's got to be the end game. Then we'll have a wild Allie vs Rosemary feud. I'm getting ahead of myself, though. Us wrestling fans to love to prognosticate and guess, don't we?

I look forward to watching what happens next in all promotions. Until next week, enjoy Evolution and the fallout, as well as whatever wrestling you choose to watch!
