Wrestle Review: History Made!

When word came down that Renee Young would be on the commentary team for Raw this Monday, I was pumped! I still am. I cannot wait until Monday night! I haven't been able to say that about Raw for awhile. I bet she'll do a great job. Bet of luck, Renee! And congratulations!

Ring Of Honor-New Japan's Supercard sold out in minutes. It will be the first professional wrestling show not promoted by the McMahon family since November 14, 1960. As Bully Ray said, " the AWA never ran in Madison Square Garden. ECW never ran in MSG. WCW never ran in MSG". This is very much historic. The G1 event taking place the same night as NXT Takeover, the night before WrestleMania, should be interesting.

I have been a faithful viewer of Raw since it's debut in 1993. There've been good and bad episodes just like every other television show. Lately, however, Raw has been more bad than good. At least that's my opinion. The best thing on Raw these past few months has been the Seth/Dolph feud. So, naturally, WWE is on the way to messing it up. I don't know when. I don't know how. I pray to God they don't screw it up but fear they will. A friend of mine told me he records Raw to watch the next day. I recorded it and watched later. It took 20 minutes. That's 11% out of 100, guys. ELEVEN! D'OH! I can only hope this week is better. It is, after all, the go-home Raw to SummerSlam.

Seth is outnumbered. That is where the return of Dean Ambrose comes into play. Ambrose' name was mentioned by Cole for the first time in months this past Monday as a floater name for a would-be Rollins' tag partner this past Monday. I'm thinking Rollins gets jumped by Dolph and Drew in the match at SummerSlam, causing a DQ. The beatdown continues until Ambrose' music hits. He runs down to the ring and he and Seth take out Dolph and Drew. Seth and Dean continue where they left off with a few tag matches until their eventual split. After all, Seth did recently say he's been doing fine sans Dean. Better than fine, actually. That little soundbite might be the catalyst for the eventual split.

Impact Wrestling has, as I've previously said, been superb. Killer Kross helping Austin Aries retain the world title against Eddie Edwards this past week pretty much solidified the Aries-Kross partnership. Also, an Aries-Kross partnership could be Impact's answer to Dolph and Drew. Either way, it should be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Let's see what the coming week brings us. It really doesn't matter which company wins or loses. The more wrestling, the better. Let's see what develops!
