NODQuinn- Projecting Rusev's MITB Cash in
Submitted by Dane Quinn on 05/15/2018 at 12:11 PM

For more than a decade, the Money in the Bank Ladder Match has been a staple for WWE's future stars. There have been many mid-carders who captured the prestigious briefcase and changed the entire narrative of their career. Daniel Bryan, Edge, CM Punk, and many others were able to take the next step towards immortality after winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

As of May 15th, six men have qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match on June 17th. Braun Strowman, The Miz, Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode, Finn Balor, and Rusev have earned the right to compete for the championship opportunity. Two superstars have yet to be revealed, but it doesn't matter because Rusev will win the Money in the Bank contract.

The Money in the Bank PPV is designed to create a new superstar. Yes, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Kane have all won the briefcase. However, this is laziness on the part of the creative team. It's time for someone new. Kevin Owens, The Miz, and Finn Balor have already reached the promise land. Braun Strowman is already a huge star in the company. This match presents a perfect opportunity to elevate a new star to the next level. Sorry, Bobby Roode might be glorious, but he is no Rusev.

Over the past couple weeks, WWE has teased the possible split of Rusev and Aiden English. Lana appeared with a Rusev Day shirt on and implied that someone was holding Rusev back. She clearly meant Aiden English has become dead weight.

If Rusev uses his brain, he could use Aiden English during the Money in the Bank Ladder Match to obtain the championship opportunity. After winning the briefcase, Rusev will attack Aiden English and re-align himself with his beautiful wife, Lana.

Rusev achieved greatness when he was with Lana. He was undefeated United States Champion, before running into John Cena at WrestleMania 31. The WWE Universe clearly loves Rusev. He had the biggest pop in the Men and Women's Royal Rumbles in January. The Smackdown superstar often gets loud chants at Raw events. He is clearly over and ready to become the WWE Champion.

After cutting ties with Aiden English, it will be up to Rusev to pick the perfect time to cash in the briefcase. The green briefcase indicates that Rusev could choose the WWE Champion or the Universal Champion to challenge. With Brock Lesnar as champion, there may not be many dates to cash in. No one knows if Lesnar will appear on a particular PPV or Raw. It's clear that Rusev will go for AJ Styles' WWE Championship.

If WWE was going to crown Shinsuke Nakamura as the new WWE Champion, they would of done it by now. It's apparent that Styles will retain at the Money in the Bank PPV. It's unknown who will challenge Styles at Summerslam. It could be Daniel Bryan, Big Cass, The Miz, or Samoa Joe. All four men have sustained big losses over the past week. Samoa Joe, The Miz, and Big Cass all lost clean at Backlash. Daniel Bryan made Big Cass tap, but cleanly lost to Rusev after a devastating Machka Kick on Smackdown Live.

Samoa Joe declared that he will be taking out the winner of Nakamura/ Styles at Backlash. AJ Styles walked out of Backlash as champion. If you connect the dots, Samoa Joe will challenge Styles at Summerslam for the WWE Championship.

After a match controlled by Samoa Joe, AJ Styles will sneak out a win with a roll up. The enraged Samoa Joe will take his frustration out on the WWE Champion. Joe will choke Styles out before leaving the ring.

As Styles regains consciousness, Lana will come out and announce that Rusev will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. A dazed Styles will be staring at the ramp as Rusev's music plays. From behind, Rusev will hammer Styles with the briefcase. The Bulgarian Brute will lock in the Accolade and the referee will realize that Styles is unconscious again and signal for the bell.

Like Christian, at last, Rusev will be the WWE Champion. His ability to evolve his character over the past few years will have paid off. Rusev, with Lana by his side will be a great WWE Champion.
