Jay's Ways - Rowdy WWE Raw, Baseball Bat, & More Submitted by Justin Watry on 03/07/2018 at 06:02 PM
“I have been reading your stuff on 411mania and nodq.com for the longest time now and I have never felt inclined to email in. The general consensus of you not being most popular is harsh at times but also can be well-founded too. But I still read your stuff because I do enjoy your articles and find your perspective interesting most of the time.
That said, your article about your friend Megan and trip to Wrestlemania was the greatest thing you have ever wrote. Forget about the predictions you brag about getting right. This is your crowning piece. Maybe it is because I can relate as going to Wrestlemania is my ultimate dream and it will be happening next year. But I genuinely loved your article.
Thank you for the great stuff.”

WWE Raw Review Live From Milwaukee
I wrote all about my experience at WWE Raw on Monday night for 411mania.com yesterday - check out the column right here: https://411mania.com/wrestling/watrys-live-wwe-raw-review-milwaukee/
I hope to record a podcast soon to verbally discuss everything as well. Stay tuned for that.
Okay, okay. Ronda Rousey will be on every RAW episode until WrestleMania 34. I will assume she is also scheduled for the night after but nothing confirmed. This is great news for us fans. I am interested to find out how WWE will keep these segments "rowdy" for the next month. We got the contract signing at Elimination Chamber. We got the tease. Now we got the match announcement and some physicality. What is next? More talking? Training stuff? Time will tell. So far, so good.
Pretty bland card to be honest. Smackdown LIVE is really the brand that suffered with these pay-per-views. The co-branded shows have been great, just as RAW has. No real complaints. Ever since Jinder Mahal rose to the main event though, ugh. No wonder we are going back to co-branded shows every month after WrestleMania 34...
Greatest Royal Rumble
With each con comes a pro. Over 60,000 fans will be in Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27th. A Friday for those curious. No idea what this is all about but 50 Superstars will compete. Guys like Triple H, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and even Shinsuke Nakamura have been announced for the match. Will this be on the WWE Network? For a title shot at Summerslam maybe? An entire event based on a singular match? Lots of questions. For now, the only answer is WWE wants to expand globally and earn a ton of money. Good for them. Their stock is at $2.97 BILLION and rising.
Rumor is Australia is next with their 100,000 seat stadium hosting a show in late 2018.
Baseball Bat Drama In Impact Wrestling
Alright, I have not yet commented on this story. Here are my quick thoughts. Short and sweet.
I'm fine with Sami Callihan taking advantage of the situation and bringing on extra heel heat. He is a bad guy and should be taunting everybody. As long as the company and Edwards himself gave him the okay first, go for it.
That being said, the actual incident was stupidly personalized. This was not simply "accidents will happen in wrestling." Save me that BS excuse. This was a pointless risk with very dangerous ramifications. The chair was off balance. The spot was rushed. Neither guy seemed to be ready. The swing was ridiculously reckless. Heck, Eddie just had a kid, didn't he? Wasn't his wife backstage too? How terrifying. The whole thing was not needed at all and if you really HAD to do it, make sure everything is in place first. Take an extra two seconds before. Don't just throw the chair on somebody and swing a baseball bat full force at his face. Sloppy, sloppy stuff and sadly, we saw the results. It's 2018 guys. We don't need that junk.
A month away from WrestleMania 34. Not that it was ever in much doubt, but I will not be attending. I really did start to think about in January. last year in Orlando was such a cool experience. Going to a WM was a bucket list item I accomplished. After some back and forth, I'm content with not going this year. Not next year either, especially if the location is as has been reported. Everybody going be sure to have fun. Honestly, forget the critiques and 'smarky' attitude. Be a fan because that's what we all are...a fan.
