Wrestle Review: It's So Hard To Say Goodbye

Retirement from the ring is always, I'm sure, a very difficult decision to make. Worse/harder than having to decide when to walk away is being forced to walk away. I was crushed when Edge had to retire. His retirement speech was very heartfelt. I was as crushed with Daniel Bryan's retirement speech. Although, recent events make me wonder if a comeback might be in the offing.

This afternoon, I read that Paige will have to retire due to a neck injury. This is heartbreaking news. Whether or not you're a fan of their work, you feel horrible that someone will no longer be able to do what they love because of serious injury.

The official wording is that she was told she can no longer wrestle for WWE. I really hope there isn't an attempt to jeopardize her future well-being. The same can be said for Daniel Bryan. You want to see them in the ring again but certainly not at the extent of their health and overall well-being.

One can't help but wonder if Paige will be given airtime on Raw to address her future. I can only assume she will if she wishes. That's how they did it with Bryan and Adam. I only hope this young woman makes the safe decision for her current and future health and well-being.

I popped huge the night Paige returned to WWE a few months ago. And she looked gorgeous! Yes, I've always had a crush on her. I was so glad to see her back in the WWE. And now comes this news. We're all praying for you, Saraya. Thank you for all you've given for your fans. Good luck and God bless!
