Wrestle Review: Oops! Submitted by Andy Sullivan on 12/15/2017 at 11:00 PM
Today, I noticed an email I received last week while on vacation. The email was an alert telling me that my WWE Network subscription would expire soon. "There's nothing I can do about it now. I'll deal with it when I get back", I thought. Problem #1: I forgot to check on it when I returned last Friday night. Problem #2: I usually write a list of things I need when I go out next. I neglected to put "WWE Network card" on said list. I assume you can guess what has happened by now.
For the first time in at least 3 years, my WWE Network subscription is suspended. Nothing I can do about it until I get to Walmart and get a card. "Why don't you get one at Kroger or anyplace else that sells them", you ask? Well, being 10 days before Christmas, all the WWE Network cards everywhere I went were sold out.
I'll be honest, this morning I was a little mad at myself. I'm usually on top of these things. I didn't write a note to get one when I returned from Disney. Then, Tuesday, my grandmother passed away. My top priority wasn't exactly renewing WWE Network.
Luckily, I wasn't really looking forward to Clash of Champions anyway. Pretty much the only redeemable match on the card is, for me, Orton and Nakamura vs Sami and Kevin with Shane and Daniel Bryan as referees. It's obvious that Shane and Daniel are at odds. I believe that, this Sunday, the battle lines will be clearly drawn. It would seem that Daniel is on the side of Kevin and Sami, while Shane is on the side of Randy and Shin.
I'm sure lots of fans think that if anyone turns heel, it'll be Shane. I mean, he's a McMahon. It makes perfect sense. Also, we can get back to the last time it was Daniel Bryan vs Authority. Daniel Bryan vs a McMahon again is money in the making. If they do the McMahon/Bryan split, keep things as is. A face commissioner and a heel GM, or vice versa, has a good chaotic feel to it.
I have absolutely no clue what happens in that match. I can tell you that I think, for whatever reason, Jinder Mahal becomes a 2X WWE Champion Sunday night. Because, hey, we have to have a round 3, right? Singh boys run interference. Jinder regains.
Mojo v Ryder is a joke. Obviously Rawley is winning. Does anyone care about this feud? I don't. Tyler Breeze and Fandango against Rowan and Harper? Are you kidding me? Is this a pay-per-view or an episode of SmackDown?
The lumberjack( at least they aren't calling it lumberjill anymore) match between Charlotte and Nattie for the women's championship might be pretty good. Maybe, I don't know. I'll either keep up with the results online or just wait until Tuesday night for the results. I have a church function Sunday afternoon/evening so I couldn't watch live anyway.
Lesson learned: Always keep your subscriptions up. I usually write them in the calendar on my phone. It just so happens I should've renewed before I left for Disney. I'd rather to miss a small December show instead of Royal Rumble or, God forbid, WrestleMania. Another lesson, and this is a little personal, cherish time with your loved ones and family. You never know when that time will be up. Even when they're older and you know they're on borrowed time, it's still going to hurt. Until next week...
