Jay's Ways - Kurt Angle, WWE Returns, MORE! Submitted by Justin Watry on 10/31/2017 at 07:55 PM
"I have been reading your stuff on 411mania and nodq.com for the longest time now and I have never felt inclined to email in. The general consensus of you not being most popular is harsh at times but also can be well-founded too. But I still read your stuff because I do enjoy your articles and find your perspective interesting most of the time.

That said, your article about your friend Megan and trip to Wrestlemnaia was the greatest thing you have ever wrote. Forget about the predictions you brag about getting right. This is your crowning piece. Maybe it is because I can relate as going to Wrestlemania is my ultimate dream and it will be happening next year. But I genuinely loved your article.
Thank you for the great stuff."

NEW 411MANIA COLUMN!
Last Tuesday, my FULL WWE TLC 2017 review was posted on 411mania. For my full thoughts on the pay-per-view event and the return of Kurt Angle, head on over there. Well worth the extra click. Quick summary is I enjoyed the show. For all the other details, go to 411mania...
That was last week. This week is about Emma, Summer Rae, and Darren Young being released from WWE. Plus, some cold hard facts about the financial side of professional wrestling in 2017. Again, all on 411mania baby!
Kurt Angle's Future
Going forward, it appears Kurt Angle will wrestle at Survivor Series in the big Raw vs. Smackdown LIVE five on five tag team match. Fair enough. My guess is Shane McMahon is also added. Not what I would have done personally but works nonetheless. A nice throwback to their epic King of the Ring battle in June 2001. Of course, the obvious speculation is how much gas is left in the tank for Angle inside the squared circle.
Believe it or not, WWE can milk this (ha!) all the way to WrestleMania 34 without him actually having a one on one match. TLC was the last minute replacement for Roman Reigns in the tag match. November will be similar - him being in a huge tag match with other talents doing all the heavy lifting. Here is where it gets tricky.
No reason to have him wrestle in December. There is nothing there.
In January, depending on where he stands as Raw General Manager, you can absolutely throw him in the Royal Rumble. Even entering at #30 and doing very little would be enough. We don't need some magical 45 minute performance from the number one spot. Just enter, give a few suplexes and be thrown over the top rope. Whoever is his WM34 opponent would be the ideal set up.
Most think it will end up being Triple H. I don't know. A HHH-Kevin Owens bout may be intriguing as well. Either way, you can then start the build through February and March to April's Mania.
THAT is where we finally get the one on one match for Kurt Angle. With his red, white and blue gear. With the theme music. With the pyro. With his career ending on a high note in a featured match on the grandest stage of them all. It's true. It's darn true...
If you followed me on Twitter Monday afternoon, you knew about the Stephanie McMahon return. Also the Samoa Joe return was known. Daniel Bryan too, if you want to count that. Nia Jax, Braun Strowman, and Bo Dallas also showed up on RAW for the first time in awhile. Bray Wyatt will pop in next and then Roman Reigns. That should help the red brand. Here is what I think of each guy/gal ready to make an impact on television again.
Steph - Yes, I knew about the return segment...and yes, it was fine. Still, I hope this was a one off. Like her Smackdown LIVE cameo a few weeks ago, remember that? No reason for it. Like Triple H and other authority figures, the less the better.
Joe - Oh yeah! About time. He walked to the ring, beat Apollo Crews and did so as a heel. Many might argue he is due for a face turn. I will not argue that, but I will say Joe did great on Monday night getting the fans to go from cheering him to booing him. Exceptional promo work there.
Bryan - Writing him off television or being used to turn HIM against Raw just like Shane? Interesting it was Kane that took him out backstage. No major 'Under Seige' invasion this week. I liked that. Save it for the final week of hype before WWE Survivor Series.
Jax - Meh. I don't know why she took a break and honestly, I don't really care. She was off TV for a few weeks and is now back in the same spot. Okay.
BRAAAAUNNNN - Officially a face going forward. Fun stuff destroying The Miz and his goons. Corny and campy stuff with the garbage truck but did its job. Fans cheered for him, and that was the endgame.
Bo - Do you BOlieve? Sure. Welcome back.
Bray - What is he going to do upon return? Zero clue. Do more junk with Finn Balor and his Sister Abigail persona? Hopefully not. Somebody tell me what Bray can do when he comes back. I'm at a loss. Would he have been better off staying on the blue brand during the Superstar Shakeup? Besides being with JoJo, there is no benefit to him on Raw...
Roman - Nothing will change here. WWE will get their full blown reunion with the three original members of The Shield in a tag bout and then the Road to WrestleMania build will start come January and the Rumble. Obviously, Reigns will be a big part of that.
Podcast Co-Host? - The offer is still out there. Sometime in November, I want to partner up with somebody and record my first podcast ever. Before 2017 is up, that has been the goal. Anybody out there interested can email or tweet me.
The return of NRW is officially over 1,600 views online. Months ago, when this all began, my target was hitting one thousand. After barely a week, we crossed that mark. The match is posted below. Well worth the 15 minutes!
