Wrestle Review: Ch-ch-ch-changes

Channeling the late David Bowie with that title, changes abound for this Sunday's TLC event. The first change was scripted, and it came Monday night. The main event was Braun Stroman vs Roman Reigns in a cage. If Stroman won, the team of Miz, SheSaro and Stroman could add a fifth member. Stroman won and that fifth member ended up being a returning Kane! Kane of course was the cause of Braun winning. The thought of Kane and Braun on the same team.....

Fast forward to this afternoon. There's a nasty virus going around that has taken Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns out of Sunday night. Bray was to face Fin Balor. That match, unbelievably, will now be Fin Balor facing AJ Styles! Talk about a WrestleMania quality match! I feel horrible for Roman and Bray. Their replacements, however, have turned this event up a few notches.

Drew Gulak will present a cruiserweight championship edition of his Powerpoint Presentation. I may skip out on that. No offense to this particular show. Well, maybe. I'm just not too hyped for that. Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox will also face off on the kickoff show. This stinks of an easy win for Sasha.

Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann vs. Gentleman Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick starts the show. I'm going with Kendrick getting the pin on Swann. Asuka will destroy Emma. Obviously they won't have Asuka lose her debut match.

Kalisto defending the cruiserweight championship against Enzo Amore....well, Enzo apparently has a crew now. So, I see Enzo regaining the championship. They're going to play hot potato with that title, won't they?

"The Demon" Fin Balor facing AJ Styles is a match that I'm a whole lot more excited for than Balor vs Wyatt. I think AJ will emerge the winner but, regardless of who wins, this could have match of the year potential.

Alexa Bliss defending the title against Mickie is hilarious. No way James wins that title. Finally, Kurt Angle joins tag champs Ambrose and Rollins to face Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Stroman and a returning Kane in a TLC match. Nobody has touched on this but, formerly, every match at TLC had a distinction. There was a tables match. There was a ladder match. There was a chairs match, I'm pretty sure Kane was in a chairs match once upon a time.

Kurt Angle and AJ Styles have made what was going to be a "meh" show into what has potential to be a great show! It would be a crime, in my opinion, to have a TLC match without a Hardy. Jeff is injured. Therefore, I have an idea.

Imagine this: Kurt Angle comes out before the match and says he's a little rusty and has had a few guys training him. He decided to reward their training with a spot in the main event. The lights go down and the Hardy Boys' music hits! I know, Jeff's recuperating so it's be Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan. Then you'd have 5 on 5 as well as having a Hardy in a TLC match, as it should be. Will that happen? It probably won't but I'd pop for it.

This afternoon's announcement has upped my anticipation factor for TLC. I know I'm not alone in that assessment. I hate that two individuals got ill and I certainly wish them a speedy recovery. I can't imagine having such a nasty illness.

You gotta know Daniel Bryan has to be a little put off by the news of Angle getting back in the ring seeing as they won't clear Bryan, who basically is in the same predicament as Angle. I know, concussions are different than neck issues.

Now there's speculation of Team Bryan vs Team Angle at Survivor Series. Imagine if this happened! Who would be on the teams? Would Kurt compete? Would Bryan? Fasten your seatbelts. The next few months just got more interesting!
