J Says: MNR Thoughts 8/7/2017

1. MizTV: You can count on one hand the number of people that can go toe to toe with Paul Heyman on the mic. And The Miz is one of those people. Love Brock Lesnar killing everyone. Crowd was pumped up for it. It was exciting to watch, too. Made easy work out of all 3. That's exactly how your top champ should be booked. Not as a chump, but a wrecking crew. Of course, like Corey Graves said, it won't be as easy when Brock's facing Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman at SummerSlam.

2. Bayley interview: Poor Bayley. Getting booed. How far she's fallen. Of course, her attempt at a comeback jab didn't connect. That only made the booing worse. I think she overreacted to it though. I don't think they were booing her, but rather booing the fact that she's injured. So much potential when she was in NXT, then the big pop for her main roster debut. She's just been screwed majorly. Obviously it sucks that she's injured. Hopefully the time away will give WWE a chance to fix her. Might as well try a heel turn. Not like her reactions could get any worse. She's dead as a door nail as a face.

3. Reigns vs Braun: Good match from these 2 as usual, but enough of this matchup already. How many times are they gonna fight? LET THE FEUD END ALREADY. Roman had Braun down after the Spear. Ref starts the 10 count. Roman backed into the barricade where Samoa Joe was in hiding. He locks in the Coquina Clutch and chokes out Roman. OK. But why did the ref stop the count? He was at like 7 or 8. There was no reason to stop the count. Roman was still on his feet. The other part that bothered me is Braun popping up like he came out of a toaster. Just completely no sold the match in that second. Wouldn't kill the guy to learn how to sell once in a while.

4. Seth Rollins/Dean Ambrose: Seth's been trying for weeks to get on Dean's good side, because he wants them to be a team again. Dean's hesitant for obvious reasons. Seth's only claim is that it's been 3 years since he betrayed Dean (and Roman). But for anyone who's ever been betrayed, no 2 people are going to have the same willingness to forgive. Seth's been in a few jams, and Dean's bailed him out, which he said was due to not wanting to look like the bad guy. Just 2 weeks ago, Seth attempted to do the Shield fist bump with Dean, but Dean walked away. Understandable. Now this week, the roles are reversed. Dean shows he finally considering trusting Seth again. Even stuck his fist out for the pose. And... Seth just leaves him hanging. O... K... why? All of that work Seth's put in, and once Dean reciprocates, now he backs away? He either wants to team up or he doesn't. Can't have it both ways.

Speaking for me, I can't say I want any part of a reunion. It just feels much to soon for one. Even after only 3 years, they constantly interacted in some form or another. Dean and Seth fought endlessly. Dean and Roman teamed up all over the place. Then it became Roman and Seth fighting all the time, then they started teaming. Plus, Roman still technically has the Shield theme. So that lessons the impact if all 3, or even if just 2 got back together.
