Jay's Ways - Mauro, Women, GLOW, & More! Submitted by Justin Watry on 06/29/2017 at 06:02 AM
"I have been reading your stuff on 411mania and nodq.com for the longest time now and I have never felt inclined to email in. The general consensus of you not being most popular is harsh at times but also can be well-founded too. But I still read your stuff because I do enjoy your articles and find your perspective interesting most of the time.
That said, your article about your friend Megan and trip to Wrestlemnaia was the greatest thing you have ever wrote. Forget about the predictions you brag about getting right. This is your crowning piece. Maybe it is because I can relate as going to Wrestlemania is my ultimate dream and it will be happening next year. But I genuinely loved your article.
Thank you for the great stuff."

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
My new 411mania column has yet to be posted. It is my mid-2017 review. Most of it revolves around the wrestling business, but there is some personal junk in there as well. Six months down in the year-who knows what is still to come? Give it a read on 411mania soon.
After years of talking about a return and months of planning, the big day finally arrived. I could tell you a million stories about all the things that led up to the introductions, but let's just say nothing went right in the hours beforehand. Nothing. A disaster in every single sense of the word...until the match began.
Then all was right in the world.
The video(s) are currently being edited. The rough cut looks great, and I am super excited for the finished product to be done. I always said public viewing options would be revealed at a later date. No promises though on an exact reveal. I don't want to announce anything and then have to go back on my word. It's coming. Remain patient.
If you follow mmonroever on Snapchat or Instagram or whatever (I don't know) there is a little exclusive first look video already posted.
SO much fun and made all the hassle worth it in the end.
How do I know I was satisfied with what we had accomplished? After being awake until about 5 am still jacked up, I ended up sleeping for about 12 hours. With a smile on my face. If you know me, you know sleeping that long straight through is a RARITY! For the first time in months, I slept...and slept...and slept.
Stay tuned for the match on my Twitter account (@JustinWatry) for more information.
I comment on this topic a little bit in my new 411mania column, but here is the gist of the womens divisions in WWE right now. Both are getting attention and despite what many think, the company is NOT disrespecting them. In fact, it is the complete opposite.
Main event on Raw.
Main event on Smackdown LIVE.
Main event on NXT.
All unique in their own way and all did a great job showcasing fresh/new stars. No part-timer or legend brought in. The revolution from 2015 has been a smashing success and is still going strong two years later with new heights reached every month. Don't rip on WWE for the occasional misstep or show where they are not focused.
It is life. Sometimes things get sidetracked or pushed to the side. Heck, I wanted my much hyped up NRW video to be edited within a day and posted publicly. The rough cut was done pretty quickly, but too much stuff is going on. Sadly, it was put on the back burner but will get the spotlight it deserves once everything settles down here in Wisconsin. Again, that's life.
The women's revolution might have a week or two where it is only given a few minutes of television time. Big deal. Cry me a river. We are so far ahead of the game right now compared to years ago that I can forgive such silly nitpicks.
Congrats to Sasha Banks for earning the future title shot against RAW Womens Champion Alexa Bliss. That will surely be fun to watch.
Congrats to Asuka in retaining her NXT Womens Title over Nikki Cross in a wild Last Woman Standing bout...
...and congrats to Carmella in (again?) becoming Ms. Money In The Bank on Tuesday night.
Big Brother 19
Big Brother is back on CBS for another season. While I praised the cast in a previous column, the premiere episode took one big step back to its former ways. Not in a good way either. I won't rant too much because we are only one episode in. Still, there is a lot of promise to season number 19. It was just a tad bit disappointing to see the show return to a stale/repetitive twist. Ugh. More thoughts on each cast member on my Twitter account.
Seeing as how I currently have no TV, no Wi-Fi, no clothes, and no electricity, my viewing of the new GLOW series on Netflix will have to wait. I do plan on watching it though, so be on the lookout for a review when I am finished. In case it wasn't clear, I am in the middle of moving to a new place. Only a few miles away from my current address, but all of that nonsense is kinda-sorta important to living. Just a few more days though of emptying out my former condo and moving boxes in my Audi a million times over and over. Then comes Wi-Fi, a couch, and all that beautiful stuff again - including a connection to Netflix! Yay for July 1st.
Oh, look. Mauro Ranallo is now calling NXT, the job he initially wanted upon joining WWE in the first place. Amazing how that works out, huh? No company BS about them mistreating him. No garbage about fans calling for firings! No big behind the scenes investigation into conduct. None of that stuff. Just the usual witch hunt from certain internet folks who just read silly headlines rather than know the whole story.
I had said multiple times on Twitter since April and in columns that there was more to come on a MAJOR story. Most of the reporting on said story was wrong from the word go. Once you use the word "bully" and deal with an internet darling who retweets compliments and has a rabid following, you tell me which side fans will pick. You tell me how the reaction will go. You tell me if this entire mess ever had a true shot of being reported on factually when Mauro is friends with the biggest online journalist covering the story.
Yeah, because that was surely going to be handled with bias. Right?
The answer was no, and we saw that play out the past few months. Everybody is now eating crow and/or being awfully silent about their previous tough words. I wish the supposed 'smart' fans would actually live up to that name at some point in my lifetime. Rather than being mocked and laughed at as a fanbase, it is quite upsetting to always watch the negative stereotype prove to be correct in the end.
