The X-Factor: The third trip to Brooklyn - Vol. 2
Submitted by Victor Mariscal on 06/27/2017 at 03:43 AM

Somehow, it didn’t surprise me that they were gonna let us down. The first female Money in the Bank ladder match – but not the first women’s ladder match in history – ended with a man retrieving the briefcase for his ‘woman’ Carmella. I was glad she showed no remorse for her actions, even pointing out that Seth Rollins and Sheamus only won due to others helping them. That will serve to increase her heat.

Except, Carmella came off as hypocritical. She spent her entire feud with Nikki Bella calling her out for using John Cena’s influence to further her career. Carmella then wins MITB by having her man – and I use that term loosely – climb up for her. Yeah, ok.

I saw what they were doing. The move was a total ratings grab. Bryan was returning on the 6/20 SD Live too. The “Dusty finish” has been done before people.

If only Vince would just stop being sexist then we’d all be ok.

The road to Brooklyn has two months left. What do we have to look forward to?

The end of Enzo & Cass
Did we see it coming? Yes. It didn’t take away from the emotion felt. An era was coming to an end for the both of them. Kinda felt like Edge & Christian’s breakup.

Cass might fall under the category of “Heels that were totally justified” with how his turn happened. Enzo had caused his old friend a bit of trouble when he started their feud with Rusev and Lana. Plus there was the matter of Enzo writing “checks with his mouth that his ass could not cash". I’ve used that expression for my douchebag nephew.

Carmella tweeted about it because she also loves to run her mouth. I would love to see Enzo appear on Smackdown and call her out.

Their segment on the 6/26 show was pretty convincing, but being a 18-year long fan I knew it was a fake-out.

They’re probably gonna have their first bout at Great Balls of Fire, maybe a tag match involving the Big Show at SummerSlam.

Reigns vs. Strowman
Really wish they’d gone with the cocky anti-hero Reigns when they were trying to build him up to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.

It’s gonna be either one of these two facing Brock for the red leather belt in Brooklyn. It hasn’t been billed as a #1 Contender’s match but whoever wins is gonna be demanding a title shot.

Strowman has done a damn good job looking like a monster. There’s also Reigns being a damn good seller, not that his haters will ever give him his due credit.

Speaking of a guy who the haters don’t give credit to…

John Cena
I’ll be in the arena when he returns. I’m excited.

People bemoan the fact that AJ Styles’ title reign ended just to create the moment of Cena “tying” Ric Flair. Yeah, but that was also a frontrunner for “Match of the Year” so, there you go.

Blame Vince. Cena could’ve defended it all the way to Orlando and maybe lost it back to Styles or Orton in a Triple Threat. Instead he wasted his top star in a mixed tag match.

The latest rumors flying are that Cena will enter into a program with Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam. Thing is, Cena should get #17, but Corbin shouldn’t trash it by cashing in. Do it like Rollins: wait until the two of them are exhausted, then swoop in and take the title. Corbin and Cena should feud until the latter leaves to film American Grit season 3 – assuming the show returns – and then Cena wins it and takes to New Orleans. Don’t bitch people, the guy is a major draw.

The Raw Women’s title picture
We’ve heard the talk. Is it gonna happen?

Sasha Banks overcame the monster of Nia Jax, who had to fight her way through Bayley, Mickie James, Dana Brooke and Emma only to lose.

Please send Dana back to NXT. Why is she the one who took the quickest loss? Do they hate her that much?

It’s gonna be hard to turn Sasha heel, and to be honest I don’t think they need to. She just submitted Nia by the skin of her teeth. That’s gonna be hard to transition into a villainous turn.

I don’t know if it will work. Bayley’s lost a ton of heat thanks to her angle with Alexa. Sasha vs. Bayley is the match that’s been talked about, and given that it’s in Brooklyn, they will have to deliver.

The road to Barclay’s Center continues.

Don’t mess with the X.
