Jay's Ways - WWE UK, Kairi Hojo, & MORE!

"I have been reading your stuff on 411mania and for the longest time now and I have never felt inclined to email in. The general consensus of you not being most popular is harsh at times but also can be well-founded too. But I still read your stuff because I do enjoy your articles and find your perspective interesting most of the time.

That said, your article about your friend Megan and trip to Wrestlemnaia was the greatest thing you have ever wrote. Forget about the predictions you brag about getting right. This is your crowning piece. Maybe it is because I can relate as going to Wrestlemania is my ultimate dream and it will be happening next year. But I genuinely loved your article.

Thank you for the great stuff."

WWE UK Tapings

Sorry for my United States ignorance, but I am very curious to see how the new UK series for the WWE Network translates to a worldwide stage. The local crowds will be into the show and love the stars, I'm sure. What about a bum like me from Wisconsin who knows none of these guys or won't understand the humor or popular slang? A lot of that stuff just flies over my head. Same with Enzo and half his jokes - I never know what he is talking about with the Jersey junk. Or Zack Ryder with his 'bros.' Like, WHAT? Huh?

I know it is the difference of culture and blah, blah, blah. Just giving my honest opinion. Hope this attracts ALL fans.

Beyond that, rumor is the UK Championship tournament did okay for the WWE Network but nowhere near as well as the Cruiserweight Classic. I am not surprised. Yet, we are now getting a full blown series with tapings in the UK and exclusive stars, title belt, etc. Alright, good luck being able to pull that off. WWE has big plans for expanding to a global audience; I wish them all the best and will obviously take a look at the first few episodes before giving my full opinion.

I am just having bad flashbacks to me giving 205 Live a chance when it first began, and I have not cared to watch an episode in months.

Kairi Hojo

I have not seen a single match from Kairi Hojo. Outside of Youtube clips and rare highlights on Twitter, my viewing of her in the ring is nearly non-existent. I admit that and am honest about it.

Why do I mention her?

Rumor is she is finishing up all her other duties and reporting to WWE soon for the NXT brand. While I may know nothing about her, everybody else says she is excellent and one of the top talents in the entire wrestling world. Not just female mind you. No, EVERYBODY! Head and shoulders above the competition and an excellent signing.

If true, welcome aboard! I would love to see her mix it up with the women in NXT and drop that elbow from the top rope. That move looks spectacular. With Asuka seemingly wrapping up in NXT and heading to the main roster sometime in 2017, it makes sense to have another great waiting to debut. I am ready.

Bring It To The Table

PWInsider is saying that WWE Network series Bring It To The Table will be back on a monthly basis. The show is usually pretty solid and flies by in a half hour, so I like the idea. Give us a quick recap of all things WWE during the last four weeks and debate about the topics. Simple formula.

Two negatives about the show though. First is the sidenote that Paul Heyman won't be back. Eh, that is not a huge deal in my mind. JBL is the star of the show anyways. What I don't like about Heyman not appearing is that means no Brock Lesnar talk. It seems silly, but he is the Universal Champion! Anytime possible, we should be getting some kind of update on his whereabouts. Even if it is from his annoying advocate on a WWE Network talk show. No Heyman means no Lesnar. That is bad when the guy has already disappeared for over a month.

Second is more of a personal thing - JBL (and sometimes Corey Graves) takes away my talking points! Seriously. Go back and watch the first few episodes. Either I say all their stuff in previous columns or I was going to say similar things, but they took them before I got the chance to. Can be frustrating at times. Luckily, my columns get posted before on occasion. Other times, it comes across like me 'stealing' or 'borrowing' their opinions when trust me, I speak for myself and always have.

Oh well. Good show, glad to see it return.

No Soda/No Pizza

I had a dream I was drinking soda. No joke. That is where I stand after 20 days of quitting cold turkey. I had a freakin' dream about downing a full bottle of Pepsi in about ten seconds. I remember it so vividly. Felt so refreshing. Just a dream though. Staying strong. The pizza outing is coming soon; I know that. It will be okay; I wanted to cut it out of my main food menu, and that has been a success. Splurging after a month is no big deal.

The return. It's happening.
