- Backstage, Jinder Mahal was taking photos with the WWE title belt. Shane McMahon appeared and said Mahal would be facing Sami Zayn tonight. McMahon then took back the title belt. That was an anti-climatic way to end the title belt being stolen storyline.

- Shane McMahon came out and introduced the new U.S. Champion and member of the Smackdown Live roster Chris Jericho. McMahon announced that Jericho will face Kevin Owens and then AJ Styles came out. Styles brought up their past and said Jericho is in the house that he built. Jericho was about to put Styles on the list when Owens came out. Owens told Styles to leave his ring. Styles did just that and started fighting with Owens until the referees broke them apart.

- Sami Zayn vs. Jinder Mahal with the Singh brothers. One of the brothers saved Mahal from getting hit with the Helluva kick. The other one grabbed Zayn's foot and Jinder hit his finishing move to pick up the victory. This was pretty much exactly what you would expect.

- Backstage, Natalya tried to convince Becky to join her group in the fight against Charlotte. Becky said she would think about it.

- Tye Dillinger defeated Aiden English in a quick match. English sang before the match.

- Backstage, Chris Jericho put Aiden English on the list for crying. Jericho added Renee Young to the list just for the hell of it. This was a funny segment.

- Charlotte Flair cut a backstage promo and was attacked by Natalya's new group.

- Naomi vs. Natalya and Carmella. It was supposed to be a tag match but Charlotte wasn't around due to the attack. Charlotte finally arrived and tagged into the match. Natalya was able to take advantage of Charlotte being hurt and re-gained control of the match. Naomi tagged back in and cleaned house. James Ellsworth provided a distraction and Carmella pinned Naomi with a roll-up. Natalya's group teamed up on Charlotte and Naomi. Becky Lynch came out and shook hands with Natalya's group. Becky then threw Ellsworth into the women. The numbers game was too much and Becky got beat down as well. This was a fun match and I enjoyed the storyline.

- Dolph Ziggler vs. Sin Cara. The crowd chanted for Nakamura during the match. Ziggler won with the superkick. I liked Sin Cara's new gear but it still didn't prevent him from losing. At least he got TV time with it.

- A skit aired with Breezango as the Fashion Police. I liked the Freddie Blassie framed photo in the background.

- Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens for the U.S. Title. Jericho worked over Owens' finger. Jericho had Owens in the Walls of Jericho but Owens was able to get to the ropes with his other hand. Owens DDT'd Jericho on the outside floor. Owens hit the popup powerbomb to regain the U.S. Title. After the match, medics were checking on Jericho and the idea was that he was badly hurt. Owens went back in the ring and hit another popup powerbomb. Owens put a steel chair around Jericho's throat and ran Jericho into the ring post. This was a very good main event and post-match angle to write off Jericho for the time being.
