Reports on 'thigh slaps' and hiring doctrine in WWE
Submitted by Aaron T-Bar Rift on 03/05/2021 at 03:31 PM

- According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, there was a story going around that wrestlers in WWE were starting to be fined for using "thigh slaps" as sound effects during matches. Meltzer added that "from what we’ve been told there was one memo sent to talent in NXT about doing it and nobody has said a word about it since."

- Dave Meltzer is reporting that people in WWE are said to be "very aware of the aging aspect of the roster and developmental" and changes are going to be made. There is reportedly a new doctrine that WWE will not be signing new wrestlers over 30. However, it's believed that exceptions will be made if the wrestler is really good in the ring or has name value from another promotion.
