Smackdown outdraws RAW again; More on Okerlund's death

- This week’s edition of Smackdown Live on New Year’s Day drew 2.091 million viewers which was above the 1.904 million viewers for last week’s show. With the New Year’s Eve RAW drawing 1.968 million viewers, Smackdown also outdrew RAW for the 2nd week in a row.

- Additional details have come out about the death of Mean Gene Okerlund. According to TMZ.com, Okerlund suffered multiple broken ribs during a fall at his Florida home just a few weeks ago. Okerlund’s condition got worse and he was admitted to a nursing home just four days before his death. When Okerlund had trouble breathing, he was rushed to the hospital which is where he ultimately passed away.
