Smackdown viewership plummets; Alexa's in-ring return
Submitted by Aaron Rift on 12/05/2018 at 05:00 PM

- This week's Smackdown Live fell under two million viewers to 1.948 million viewers. Last week's show did 2.264 million viewers and the episode on December 5th, 2017 did 2.493 million viewers. This was the second least-watched brand extension episode of Smackdown Live after the November 8th, 2016 (Election Day) edition which drew 1.921 million viewers.

- Regarding when Alexa Bliss will return to WWE in-ring action, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted the following:

“What I heard about Alexa Bliss is she will probably remain out until Royal Rumble. Watch her wrestle next week on RAW, but anyway, that’s what I was told.”

“The Performance Center has a bunch of rings, but one of the rings they’ve got, the entire ring is a crash pad. So when you hear that Alexa Bliss is taking light bumps and that sort of thing, she’s not even bumping in a real ring right now. At least as of last week, she was taking bumps on the crash pad and they were making sure she could bump on a crash pad without I guess ending up with vertigo.”
