Paige comments on Liv Morgan/Brie Bella incident Submitted by Aaron Rift on 10/08/2018 at 01:53 PM
While appearing on Lilian Garcia's podcast, Paige gave her thoughts on Liv Morgan getting a concussion from Brie Bella. Here is what Paige said courtesy of CagesideSeats.com:
ďAccidents happen in the ring. Iím not gonna hold Sasha accountable for what happened to me. It is what it is. Weíve been all doing it for years and - at one point another one of us is gonna hurt each other. We canít be perfect all the time.
Which is the same thing of what I get with Brie - I felt so bad for Brie. Sheís never hurt anyone, this is the first time sheís hurt someone and she gets blamed for it? Come on, dude - itís an accident. Itís an accident. Liv doesnít blame her.
The thing that I donít like about it is the fact that her teammates brought her back in the ring to do a suplex when everyone knew she was knocked out. Thatís the thing that I donít like. Itís just like - donít come back in for the suplex. You know youíre hurt. We have concussion meetings all the time. Take care of yourself. But also, your tag partners - as much as I love them, theyíre very sweet girls - they know she got knocked out, you donít let her back in the ring again. Thatís what Sasha did with me. As soon as she knew something was messed up, she was like, ĎIím not continuing the matchí. Thatís a professional. Sheís like, ĎI canít do this.í And I was trying to continue it and I was trying, I was trying, I was trying and she was like, ĎStop. Youíre gonna hurt yourself even more.í And I get where Liv comes from, she wants to continue-continue, but stop. Itís not worth it. You end up like me.
So with Ruby and Sarah, take care of your teammate. You see that she got hurt. Donít let her back in the ring again. And referee in there, donít let her back in the ring again. But apparently the ref didnít know anything. Iím like, ĎCome on! How do you not know?í But Brie in that story, and they were trying, they were trying to take care of her, you know? I felt so bad for Brie. I felt bad for both of them, but the backlash that Brie got - if it was anyone else, there wouldnít have been that much backlash - because sheís a Bella.Ē
Shortly after the podcast was released, Liv Morgan sent out the following cryptic tweet:
