Submitted by Aaron Rift on 07/06/2018 at 03:08 PM

Kane issued the following statement to Newsweek.com regarding criticism that heís still wrestling for WWE while running for Mayor of Knox County, TN:

ďAfter I am elected Mayor, Iíll be Mayor,Ē said Jacobs. ďIím sure some people will say that (Iím not focused) and some others will say thatís the coolest thing ever. Again, you canít make everyone happy. You just do what you can and thatís itÖ youíre always going to catch criticism no matter what you do.Ē

ďI may still do a few special things [in wrestling, if elected]. Iíve done it for 23 years now and have quite a history, itíll always be part of my life. I think the question is if I am taking [running] seriously, and of course I am. I wouldnít [be running] if not.Ē
