Notes regarding CM Punk/AJ Lee testimony at trial Submitted by Aaron Rift on 06/04/2018 at 05:34 PM
Ross W. Berman of WrestleZone.com was in attendance for Monday's proceedings in the CM Punk/Dr. Chris Amann trial, both Punk and his wife AJ Lee gave testimony regarding the lump that Punk claimed to have.
Here is a summary of Berman's notes from the proceedings:
CM Punk was asked questions regarding the size of the lump. Punk confirmed his symptoms such as rib pain, coughing, and lack of sleep but said that he didn't measure the size of the lump. Punk said the lump as actually on his butt and he said it was on his back during the Colt Cabana podcast because he thought it sounded better.
AJ Lee said that she witnessed the symptoms that Punk had listed and confirmed seeing the lump on his "left butt." AJ said she saw the lump for the first time in August of 2013. AJ said it started off as "zit-sized" but grew and changed shape over time. AJ remembered the lump being its biggest around the 2014 Royal Rumble. AJ described it as being like a "small fruit" at the Rumble but didn't know the actual size of the lump.
AJ wasn't able to confirm CM Punk’s feelings toward his doctors and didn't know if Punk would have a procedure or not to take care of the lump. AJ said she was surprised that Amman didn't see the lump as a problem sooner.
A massage therapist for CM Punk gave testimony and described the lump as "3 inches in diameter, 1 inch raised" and indicated that the lump was roughly the size of a golf ball. The therapist noticed discoloration during a January 30th 2014 visit but the lump was gone on an April 24th visit. Punk had allegedly told the therapist that it "turned out to be staph infection, lucky to be alive" and sounded relieved.
