News on the NXT ladder match and Asuka's streak ending
Submitted by Aaron Rift on 04/09/2018 at 03:46 PM

- According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Shawn Michaels and Michael Hayes helped produce the ladder match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans. While several of the wrestlers were banged up from the match, there were no serious injuries to report. Both Lars Sullivan and Adam Cole wrestled the next day.

- In regards to Asuka's undefeated streak ending at Wrestlemania 34, it appears that plans changed in WWE as the company had reportedly been planning to do an Asuka vs. Ronda Rousey match. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com discussed how Asuka's match with Charlotte changed:

“Originally, this match [at Wrestlemania] was going to involve multiple armbar attempts.” Meltzer continued, “Asuka was told months ago, when Ronda Rousey first signed, to start doing the armbar all the time. And then she was told ‘no more armbars.'”
