Jericho/WWE update; News on Mysterio's recovery Submitted by Aaron Rift on 03/12/2018 at 01:22 PM
- As previously noted, WWE is looking to “ramp up” the upcoming 50-man Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. In addition to The Undertaker, PWInsider.com reports that WWE has reached out to Chris Jericho and the belief is that Jericho will also be appearing at the event. Jericho will be finished with his current Fozzy tour after Wrestlemania 34.
- During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the Rey Mysterio's bicep injury and recovery time. Here is what Meltzer said about Mysterio's status for the NJPW event in Long Beach, CA courtesy of RingsideNews.com:
“He was in Lexington yesterday and he said he would be out of action for one month. Now the Long Beach show is two weeks from today and he said he didn’t know. At best I am going to say it’s touch & go. It may just be go. We’ll probably know in a day or two. I think he may wait until the end because he probably has this idea. If he can possibly do it because it’s New Japan then he will do it, but I think there is a recognition that he may not be ready in time.”
