New NXT signing no-sells powerbomb off ladder through table
Submitted by Aaron Rift on 08/07/2017 at 12:18 PM

Former Ring of Honor star Lio Rush, who reportedly signed a contract with WWE to be part of the NXT brand, generated some controversy at Saturday night's CZW event. During the match which was billed as his final CZW appearance, Rush took a powerbomb off a ladder through a table and then immediately stood up. The spot generated criticism from both fans and various people in the wrestling industry.

Former wrestler and current trainer Rip Rogers, who has been critical towards indy wrestling in recent months, had the following to say about the spot:

"Marks... idiots.... no words to describe stupidity of workers & office who even allow stupid dangerous shit like this to b allowed. I heard this guy got signed by wwe & this was his last Indy match .... nice selling kid ... I don't know who is stupider - u or ur trainer. The guy is obviously an idiot doing this stupid dangerous shit - with no regard for him or his opponent ... I'm sure boss is not a wrestler."
