Latest details on Austin Aries leaving WWE Submitted by Aaron Rift on 07/14/2017 at 11:07 AM
According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Austin Aries was not particularly well-liked by WWE writers and at least some of the talents, mainly in the cruiserweight division. It's being said that the writers and the cruiserweights were not unhappy to see him gone from the company.
Aries has a 90-day non-complete clause in his contract until October 5th but he can work certain indy dates if he gets approval from WWE. Since he was using the Austin Aries name before WWE, he'll be able to continue using it in the future.
There are conflicting reports with some saying that Aries' release from WWE was his decision while others are saying it was WWE's decision. The belief is that Aries wanted out of the cruiserweight division. Aries also showed public frustration about his match with Neville not being included in DVD/Bluray release of Wrestlemania since he lost out on revenue.
#WrestleMania 33 is now available on blu-ray in Canada. Too bad one of the #greatest matches of the night was left off the US/Canada DVDs.
