Thanks to Evan Ginzburg for the following results from Friday night's WWE live event at Madison Square Garden:

1. Shinsuke Nakamura W Dolph Ziggler 3 ¼* Better than expected considering we’ve seen the match ad nauseum and winner was inevitable. Nakamura’s charisma off the charts.

2. R. Truth W Golddust. Short match, abrupt ending, felt flat. 2 ¼*

3. Neville W Cedric Alexander 3* Solid matchup with some excellent moves and spots.

4. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose W The Miz and Samoa Joe 2 ½*- Nothing special here- Ambrose is doing a lot of comedy spots at this point and feels neutered. That Samoa Joe vs. Rollins was cancelled for THIS was a disservice to the fans.

5. AJ Styles W Kevin Owens US Championship 3 ½*- MSG crowd popped huge for rare house show title change after quality match.

6. Bayley, Sasha Banks & Mickie James W Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax & Emma 2 ½* Standard woman’s match with entrances as long as the bout itself.

7. Finn Balor W Karl Anderson DUD 30 Seconds This would have been a technical clinic in NJPW and was disgracefully rushed through with Anderson offering zero offense. Criminal. I wouldn’t even qualify this as a match. Gallows seconded him believe it or not. Hope they’re making big money in WWE because they’ve been destroyed.

8. Cesaro/Sheamus W Hardy Boyz 2 ½* Rush job. Instantly forgettable.

9. Roman Reigns W Bray Wyatt 3 ½* Fine brawl followed by Strowman attacking Reigns and R-Truth then Cedric Alexander being tossed about by Strowman and finally Rollins making the save.

Comments: A mixed bag with nothing great but ironically superior to many of the WWE’s now meaningless pay per views. All in all a solid pro wrestling card with four 3* to 3 ½*matches.
