NoDQ.com > Indy > Frustrations with Dixie Carter growing over TNA sale
Posted by Aaron Rift on 09/29/2016 at 10:22 AM

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, there is growing frustration with Dixie Carter for complicating the sale negotiations of TNA Wrestling. As previously noted, the company needs money to the produce Bound For Glory and the television tapings which is around $600,000. One person with knowledge of the situation told Meltzer the following:

“There are a lot of hurdles and games being played. She (Dixie Carter) has really made a mess and is responsible for all of it.”

Carter still owns a majority of the stock in the company at around 70 percent. Billy Corgan, production company Aroluxe and Fite TV also have stake in the company. The feeling is that Carter is trying to make the best deal for herself and another person close to the situation told this to Meltzer:

“I thought Aroluxe had it late last week (this was when just days earlier Billy Corgan seemed to be the one most expected to get it). Then Saturday (9/24) I thought Billy won. Now I know the same BS is still going back-and-forth. She is something else. I’ve never met someone so clueless. She is out of touch on all levels. Both sides want her out. There is no doubt there. It’s the only thing they can agree on.”

While Corgan is trying to negotiate a deal, if the funds aren't available to produce the shows, Bound For Glory and the television tapings will be canceled and the company will be in breach of contract with the PPV/TV providers. Regarding WWE possibly buying TNA, it's believed that WWE would not assume the company's debt which is in the millions of dollars. There's talk the debt of the company is greater than the value of the company which makes the sale complicated. Even though WWE's offer for TNA is reportedly very low, with time running out to raise funds for the shows, there's still a chance WWE will get the company.
