The New York Post published a story about Billy Corgan’s plans to become majority owner of Impact Ventures. Corgan mentioned that a sale price has been agreed to and he hopes to have the sale finalized by the October 2nd Bound for Glory event.

“I would love nothing better than to stand up in front of everyone and give a clear picture of where this company is and where it’s going,” Corgan said.

The story also claimed that WWE and Sinclair Broadcasting, which owns ROH, are rumored to have had made recent bids.

While Corgan wouldn’t reveal the sale figure, the New York Post estimated it to be around $40 million by using WWE’s market value of two times revenue. That figure sounds highly questionable.
