NoDQ.com > Indy > Backstage News on TNA's New Television Deal
Posted by Steve Carrier on 11/20/2015 at 12:38 PM

Dixie Carter mentioned in an email sent out to talent that the new TV deal with Pop TV was a multi-year deal. Staff and talent were not informed about the deal prior to the announcement being made on social media and a press release.

Some within TNA believe that the deal was finalized last week. TNA was planning to hold a television taping in New York City, but that will no longer be happened. TNA will instead announce a taping between the December India tapings and the U.K tour tapings, which takes place in late January.

POP TV’s President Brad Schwartz believes that the switch from Wednesday nights to Tuesdays will generate more audience, which is why the change was made.
