I thought the show was ok at best. I'll go match by match.
John Cena vs. John Bradshaw Layfield
Well, it was better than their WrestleMania match, but wasn't as good as their I Quit Match from Judgment Day 2005. It's a foregone conclusion that these two will meet again at One Night Stand, possibly in a Street Fight or some other type of No DQ match. Maybe even a Bar Room Brawl.
John Morrison & The Miz vs. CM Punk & Kane
I agree 100% with WWE's decision to keep the belts on Morrison and Miz. Not that I don't like Punk, because I do (but I do dislike Kane). I just felt it would be taking a step back for both Kane and Punk if they won the tag titles. So again, I agree with WWE to keep the titles on Morrison and Miz.
Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
These two put on yet another great match. It didn't go down like I expected however. I was expecting a ref bump, and for Batista to come to the ring and hit HBK with a Batista Bomb, and for Jericho to get the win. Good job on WWE's part to keep the fans guessing on whether ot not that would happen.
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Melina
FINALLY, MY GOD FINALLY, WWE gives us a Divas match that we could have looked forward to seeing. And then what does WWE do? Makes the match less than 5 minutes. Are you kidding me? Anyway, I was glad to see WWE change it up for once, and I expect some match with Mickie and Beth at One Night Stand.
Edge vs. The Undertaker
Man, did Vickie Guerrero ever get the most heel heat tonight or what? That was FANTASTIC. She is doing such a great job. I never understood the decision to strip Taker of the title until I read that Vince thinks Edge works better as a CHampion than as a Challenger. Excellent booking decision tonight on the WWE's part to keep the title vacated heading into One Night Stand, where I'm predicting we will see Taker/Edge again in either a Casket Match or a Buried Alive Match.
Jeff Hardy vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
Ok, I really don't get this at all. Jeff gets suspended for drugs. He comes back and beats Umaga on Raw. And now he defeates MVP on a PPV? Why? HE WAS SUSPENDED FOR DRUG USAGE! Has WWE forgotten that already. I say they need to job Jeff out for a while, and then when he shows he's responsible enough to take his job seriously again, THEN AND ONLY THEN should WWE allow him to come back and defeat big names like that.
Triple H vs. Randy Orton
Match of the night by far. I was hoping, deep down inside, that The Age of Orton was going to resume tonight. But, it didn't. This was the match that kept everybody on the edge of their seats from start to finish. I'll predict we see HHH vs. Orton again at One Night Stand for the last time, possibly in the rarely-used 3 Stages of Hell Match.

I missed everything before the HBK/Y2J match, but here's as goes:
HBK/Y2J: Very good match; 3/5
Beth/Melina/Mickie: Didn't watch close, but caught pieces of it; 2.5/5 out of what I saw.
Undertaker/Edge: Okay, seriously, this screwjob b.s. has got to stop. Otherwise, good match; 3/5, would've been 4/5 if it wasn't for the screwjob.
MVP/Jeff Hardy: Meh, could've been better in my opinion; 2.5/5
HHH/Orton: First off, I've heard some people're bitching about RKO's new entrance music, so here's to all those people: STFU or GTFO! That being said, it seemed just a bit too long and that it could've been a little bit better, but aside from that - VERY good match; 4/5. Not match of the year material, but still a damned entertaining match.

the raw and smackdown shows from 98 till 02 (attitude era) were better and more entertaining than the recent pay per views.. they were better booked, better scripted, deeper and more entertaining storylines. if it weren't for the hardys i wouldn't even watch this anymore. the wwe title only revolves around cena, hhh, and orton and ive seen enough of that to last a life time and i have a feeling its not over. the world heavyweight title revolves around undertaker, edge, and batista and ive had enough of that to last 10 lifetimes. not saying i dont like any of them. just had enough of the same thing over and over. time for new main eventers. the attitude era's top guys were hhh, the rock, and austin.. but they weren't the whole show.. now its just cena, orton and hhh on raw and smackdown is just undertaker, edge, and batista and its pretty damn boring cause its basically the same thing as 2006.

Clearly WWE has lost its damn mind with having HHH kissing up to ol Vincy because he is married to Stephanie... Its not fair to other wrestlers that HHH gets that advantage being closest to the script writing... Orton deserves that belt way more then HHH... WWE has went down the drain way too much, and I'm starting to fade away from them... Orton would be way bettter off in TNA.
