I think the card, on paper, had the makings of one of the best ppv's in a long time. However, I don't think they delivered from top to bottom like they could have. Backlash had huge matches with a TON of rest holds.
MVP vs. Hardy - Obviously picking up from the summer, I think this feud should have been drawn out a little longer with Hardy coming up short in this one. However, I'm glad for Matt and that he finally is going to get the recognition he deserves.
Kane vs. Chavo - Kane wins. Did anyone notice??
Big Show vs. Khali - Considering the athleticism involved and the fact that you had a match where Big Show was the more agile of the 2 combatants, I think this one was put on rather well. Everyone knew the outcome, especially since Khali's going back to India for a bit, but how cool was it to see Show body slam Khali with incredible ease. I found this match entertaining, for what it was worth.
Divas 8 on 8 - The right team won, considering this match had 12 women, but only 5 of them could actually wrestle and Mickey was the only one on her team who could. The heel divas actually have wrestling talent when you look at Beth, Melina, Victoria, and Nattie. Question. When does Layla get recognized for being the walking hottness that she is??
HBK vs. Batista - Ok. First thing's first. What was the point of having Jericho as the ref? That was the most useless use of a special guest referee ever. I thought this match should have/could have been the match of the night considering the story involved as well as the 2 competators and the ref. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! No swerve. No screwjob. No Y2J heel turn. No Batista heel turn. All in all, the actual wrestling was good, but I think WWE missed a real opportunity storyline-wise with this one.
Edge vs. Taker - Is it just me or aside from the ending, was this match really REALLY slow? It picked up for the finish, but how many arm bars and headlocks were these 2 going to apply? Taker wins, no big surprise. That stupid choke hold he uses needs to go away. So does the "bleeding". High expectations for this one. Pretty disappointed in the action.
HHH vs. Orton vs. Cena vs. JBL - Excellent action in this one and this match really delivered on the hype. I thought it was cool the way JBL was telling Orton to tap in the s.t.f.u. and then Orton was telling JBL to tap in the crossface. Excellent interaction. Nice sequence of events with Cena eliminating JBL and immediately being kicked in the head before he even had a chance to release the hold, and then get pinned. Very believeable. I think it's a shame that Orton dropped the belt already, however, I think they made it believable to the fans. The odds were stacked against him from the beginning and he just couldn't outlast 3 other guys. The Game is back on top. Most people are bitter about that. I will be too, if he turns heel. But seriously. How long has it been since HHH was champ as face? This will make for interesting television and with the draft coming up, it also allows for some fresh feuds.
Out of a possible 5, I give Backlash a 4. Would have been a 5, but there were too many rest holds and not enough Y2J moments!!

Backlash was an ok ppv. The Big show and Khali match sucked. The other matches were ok, but way too long. Good to see Matt with a singles tittle, hope he has a nice run. Nice that the Undertaker retained his tittle. And by far, the best match of the night and the best match in awhile the fatal four way was excellent. The King is back on the throne. Oh, and people please, stop hating on HHH because he is married to Stephanie. He is by far one of the greatest wrestlers of our time and an all time great. He always puts on a great show and is always the ring general. If he were to have the talent of a Gillberg and be a 12x Champion, then I would hate on the guy. Oh and sweet that Shawn won, if he really is injured hope is Ok.

The Fatal Four Way Elmination Match was by far the best match of the night. I thought the quick Cena Elmination after the JBL Elimination was pretty cool and it threw me off. It's cool to see HHH with the title again. All Four men however did a great job in the match tonight. The Edge vs Taker match was pretty good. Had a lot of outside brawling going on which was to be expected. This was more than like the 2nd to best match of the night and then of course in 3rd place would be HBK vs Batista... Not sure if the injuries were legit or not. Batista's looked like it was possibly legit... Overall however it was a decent show. What should be expected coming off of WrestleMania. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 star show all together

I just got home from B-more after sitting front row and it was a pretty exciting show. I would've like to see HHH/Cena chase the belt a little longer, but I suppose HHH held out as long as he could. Matt's title win was expected as he has chased it for so long. Best: Fatal 4. Worst: Khali/Show

I couldn't really ask for more. We have 5 good champions now. Undertaker, HHH, and Kane holding titles at the same time is awsome! I kinda thought CM Punk would cash in at the end of the 4 way. All the matches were decent but I just hope the Taker/Edge fued is over if edge is even gonna be active after what happened.
