I don't watch wrestling much now. Only now and then. I couldn't say what the overall PPV was like or the build up to it but as I was flicking through the channels I stumbled across Angle-Joe match and decided to watch it.

Going from that match, my opinions was very positive. It is GREAT to finally see some wrestling especially in American Wrestling, mainly referring to the higher end promotions. Don't get me wrong as there have been some matches in the last decade worth mentioning here, but Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe pulled it off nicely.

When Kurt Angle went to TNA I was expecting him to be like this in his matches. You know, a combination of his character from from WWE mixed with older type Pro Wrestling which involved wrestling more than flying. I am sure some people will find this match 'boring' but I couldn't care less. Pro Wrestling is a show, and is a mark of entertainment... BUT to me it is also about the artistic side to wrestling. This is match was great and didn't notice any high flying, just wrestling throws and mat skills mostly. Great Match!

I personally would like to see a little more grappling, and TNA certainly has the talent to pull it off. That is just my personal opinion. I feel TNA can go a realistic yet entertaining direction for Pro Wrestling. It certainly won't be a direction for WWE.

Oh well. Congrats to Samoa Joe. The weight is now on his shoulders to represent TNA and I feel he will be a great example for the company.

Peace.

In all honesty, I'd have to go with 2.5 stars for this one. It really didn't live up to all of the hype for me.

It is time and past for Lethal to give the title to someone else. I'm not saying he's not a good wrestler, but there Sunjay and Curry Man are definately better. I must say that I'm glad Devine didn't get it though. Shark Boy and his SCSA gimmick is just BORING. I didn't like the speil when Austin did it himself and to have someone half his size playing a bad ass mofo, is just stupid.

Queen of the Cage was pretty good. Though I don't agree with Angel Williams making it inside the ring. But Roxxi was definately the better in that match and I'm glad she won.

BG & Kip = Boring. These guys weren't great in their heyday and they are damn sure lacking now.

Handcuff Match: WTF!!! Why can't the Guns EVER go over? And gag me with a serrated knife! Kaz and "Stuper Eric" as Tag champs? That's almost as bad as Edge and Rey Mysertio, and pretty much the same situation as well. That and Kaz's disrespect for kayfabe and everything else that he's had during his promos, I don't see him deserving a title shot, even if it is with TNA's own charity case.

ODB & Gail v Kong & Saeed: I didn't like the ending of the match. As much as I like ODB, I hate Gail Kim. Don't start on how she's done so much for women in TNA. I don't care. She's sloppier than Lita ever was and about as entertaining on the mic as Torrie Wilson. Saeed was actaully impressive and ODB is always fun to watch.

Booker & Sharmel v Roode & Banks: Thank you for the comic relief. I love that Roode got nutted and the slap from Banks to Roode was funny as well. The match wasn't that great and I'm really tired of West and Tenay thinking that Sharmell's never done anything. But TNA always acts like WCW didn't exist.

Leathal Lockdown: Some good spots. Personally I was hoping for Storm to go thru the cage, but that wasn't going to happen. I waited all night for blood, and for only 3 people to show any signs of it in this match, is a little disappointing.

Joe & Angle: I gotta agree with the whole, keep MMA out of wrestling, trend. If we wanted to watch MMA/UFC, we'd be watching it, not wrestling. That being said, it's about damn time that Joe got the strap. I think it would have been slightly more satisfying if Angle had tapped out, but we can't always get what we want.

A final note. The theme of letting the "Good Guys" win got worn thin in this ppv. Frankly, it wasn't really worth the 29.95 they charged for it. This brings to mind something that a friend told me regarding the two big promotions.

"TNA needs better writers and WWE needs better wrestlers."

Another thing TNA needs to do is STOP letting the burnt out of WWE in. Some of their aqusitions have been great (Cage, Rhino, Nash) other's should be put out to pasture (Angle, Kim, BG & Kip)
