"I honestly think that you are so good (different) at how you approach columns. I know some people take compliments lightly and such, but honestly, you should be a very proud man. Boatloads of people including me, read your columns ALL THE TIME. Me personally, I wake up every morning, and before I go to school, I read your column (I'm 16). Also, your consistency with your columns is amazing, just from reading them so much, I almost feel like I know your thought process (not that I do). So with all of that out of the way, thank you."

411Mania Column

My new column on 411mania was posted late Monday night. It covers why The New Day hosting WrestleMania 33 is a GOOD thing, the Magnus-TNA Impact Wrestling rumor, Holy Foley ending its current run, as well as my thoughts on the women's division in WWE. Both Raw and Smackdown LIVE. Lots of opinions to share. The plan is to have another two or three columns next week for 411mania written this weekend, but we'll see.

WWE Smackdown LIVE!

Okay, this past Tuesday's episode was so intriguing that I decided to review it all. Lucky you. The viewership number also popped a bit on television, so mission accomplished for WWE I guess. Road to WrestleMania 33 continues on...

- The show starts off with Naomi relinquishing the Smackdown Womens Championship to Daniel Bryan. Due to injury, she has to give up the title she worked so hard for and may even miss Mania, which is set to be in Orlando. A heartbreaking scene for Naomi, her fans, and any decent human realizing the emotion behind the segment.

I am not going to lie. I was not in favor of Naomi winning the championship and has quite a few criticisms behind the decision. Still do in fact. Not going to shy away from my opinion. That being said, this may have been the moment the light switch went on for me in regards to her career.

For the first time since entering WWE, I was invested in Naomi. I cared about her, I felt terrible for her losing the belt, I was with her sadness, I understood the passion, I just dreaded even thinking about what this meant. I felt the glow baby! Yeah, it sucks about the injury and all that, but long-term, this may be a huge moment for Naomi finally connecting with the WWE Universe. Those who loved her will love her even more now, but those didn't care all that much about her now do.

Like me.

- To crown a new champion, Alexa Bliss defeated Becky Lynch. In other words, things went back to normal for the Smackdown Womens Title. Elimination Chamber, basically, never happened. Bliss is the champ again, and Becky still can't seem to figure out how to overcome cheating. I am fine with the move. As noted above, Alexa never should have lost the belt in the first place.

- American Alpha over Tyler Breeze and Fandango. Okay, not much there. Whatever, it was just filler. What was NOT filler was the excellent promo for The Usos afterwards. Great stuff. Nice use of them coming through the crowd too. Felt different. I believe this was their best mic work ever. Seriously. Even the fans in the arena were getting into it towards the end despite the brothers being heels. So good. Alpha versus Usos can be very entertaining.

- Natalya vs. Nikki Bella in a Falls Count Anywhere bout appears to be their finale. After months of drama, it looks like both are moving on. Normally, that would signal a victory for the face. However, this is not any ordinary circumstance. Nikki is rumored to be taking time off soon (or even retiring). Plus, her motives will soon be elsewhere, meaning a loss was likely. Sure enough, Nattie won after a fun brawl throughout the building - thanks to Maryse!

Yep, the rumors were true. Nikki bumped into Maryse backstage one too many times. No more. Maryse took out Nikki with a lead pip, and that was it. The feud for WM33 is a 'go.' Enjoyable way to end one story line and move forward on another. I'd call this a success story for the Smackdown LIVE writers.

- Quick promo from Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. You know them? The WWE Champion and 2017 Royal Rumble winner? Yeah, them. I am not buying into them as a duo at all. The sooner The Viper strikes, the better.

- At this point, the #1 contenders battle royal was ready to start. It should be mentioned that during the show WWE has each competitor (minus John Cena) talk about the match and how much it meant to them. Smart move. Even for wrestlers like Apollo Crews and Kalisto, it was cool to hear from them. They want to main event WrestleMania too! let them talk about it. Not JUST main eventers deserve promo time. Two thumbs up on giving everyone a chance to speak their mind before the main event.

- There were a few good things about the battle royal. First was the set up for future feuds. The Miz and John Cena did their deal. Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin kept their beef going (over the IC Title?). Dolph Ziggler kept going after Kalisto and Crews. Also, AJ Styles still looks like he is battling the bosses at Smackdown LIVE to prove his worth. Lots of good minor details included.

In the end, it came down to AJ Styles and Luke Harper. One was not going to win (Styles); the other was a darkhorse, considering the ongoing saga with The Wyatt Family (Harper). Sadly, the company decided we needed another week of drama, as the tiresome "DRAW" result was done. Eh. Could have done without that nonsense. I understand WHY it was necessary for the story being told; I just didn't like it.

Next week will be Luke Harper vs. AJ Styles in a one on one match. The winner faces Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship at WM33.

Or both men get an RKO from Randy Orton.

You decide.

Summary: A lot of positives from Smackdown LIVE on Tuesday night with an eventful show set up for next week. Can't ask for much more than that.

FastLane & WM33

Almost there! Just days away from attending WWE FastLane in Milwaukee. I can't wait to be there. Then comes Wrestle FREAKIN' MANIA 33 in Orlando! Tickets have officially been purchased. Next up is travel/living plans for the Thursday-Monday time period I've set up in the surrounding Florida area. Oh baby, getting closer...
