"I honestly think that you are so good (different) at how you approach columns. I know some people take compliments lightly and such, but honestly, you should be a very proud man. Boatloads of people including me, read your columns ALL THE TIME. Me personally, I wake up every morning, and before I go to school, I read your column (I'm 16). Also, your consistency with your columns is amazing, just from reading them so much, I almost feel like I know your thought process (not that I do). So with all of that out of the way, thank you."

Help a friend out and raise some money for a good cause. I have promised to match any donations made. In other words, if you donate $5, I will also donate $5. If you donate 10 bucks, I will as well and so on and so forth. The goal is $100, so help her out and get a cool shout out from yours truly. A nice way to begin 2017.

TNA Returning To Spike TV?

A lot has happened in the professional wrestling world during the past week. One of the stories that got swept under the rug was that the deal between TNA Impact Wrestling and POP TV is expiring at the end of 2017. Obviously a long ways away but something to keep an eye on. Especially with reports of the contract not being worth very much money, if any at all.

Now, here is where things get interesting. Dixie Carter is (finally) all but out of the picture, where Jeff Jarrett is seemingly back in the fold. Even MORE intriguing is ProWrestling.net notes that a Spike TV official was at more than one recent TNA taping. Just a casual/friendly visit. Nothing more, nothing less...

...yeah, right.

The timing is a little too coincidental if you ask me. Dixie gone, Jarrett back, POP TV deal ending, and now Spike is just there for no reason? Hmm, maybe I am reaching here but maybe not. It is funny because for the last two years all I have read is that Spike doesn't want wrestling anymore, they moved on, etc.

That is wrong. Spike TV was done with Dixie Carter. They moved on from her, not necessarily Impact Wrestling itself. With everybody in a different situation now than 2014, I go back to a report I did back in early 2015.

I asked a Spike TV executive about the possibility of wrestling returning to the network and was told “We are always on the lookout for the right programming to fit our brand.”

A carefully worded statement. Stay tuned...

Women's WrestleMania Tag Team Match?

Alright, I'm not going to spill the beans on any spoilers here. However, I will say this about the much discussed women's tag team match at WM33 involving past and present wrestlers. First of all, one of the names mentioned is 100% NOT going to be there. I can confirm that. Secondly, one of the names rumored will be in town for the event but is still working on any other details in a potential contract for in-ring stuff.

Kinda vague, I know. Still, just like the story of Paige being released last April (which was absolutely close to becoming a reality), I want to be extra careful with this. Same with the Lilian Garcia drama in 2016. Gotta be 100% sure.

Shaq VS. Big Show

From the moment Big Show and Shaq had their staredown in Texas at WrestleMania 32, I wondered if they would battle. I specifically remember telling my buddy Mania was in Orlando, and it would be the perfect place. Well, almost 11 months later and still nothing. Lots of teases and hints, without an official announcement. Big Show is apparently all-in. I wish I could say the same for Shaq. Nobody seems to know. You would think the company would be promoting this like crazy to the mainstream media by now.

About one month to go. WWE better figure it out.

A Twitter request:

Ah, Cesaro. The man who has constantly been paired up with somebody else: Aksana, Paul Heyman, Tyson Kidd, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter, etc. Heck, he was best known before WWE for being in a tag team with Chris Hero.

I know the popular answer is to blame the writers and/or Vince McMahon, but that always feels like a copout. There has to be something missing. I think the dude in incredible and has ridiculous amounts of strength,. However, for one reason or another, either an injury stalls him or something. It feels like we are always just a month or two away from him getting a legitimate shot at the main event scene. Rewind back to early 2014 when he WAS on fire. Cesaro pinned WWE World Champion Randy Orton in February and then went on to have an amazing Mania Moment in New Orleans. He was OVER! Now, it was immediately squandered the next night when he was made a Paul Heyman Guy (a move I called out as being a mistake from the get go). Still, the fact remains fans were with him...as was the company.

Time will tell when he gets another chance. Maybe when thousands of fans actually start bringing their own "Cesaro Section" signs rather than one guy just printing up 1,000 of them by himself...

As for others? Yeah, as mentioned, it is far too simple to just blame others. Titus O'Neil is the example I will use today. People whined and complained for him to get an opportunity on television for years. Batista is his buddy, so he is not exactly the most unbiased person in the world, but he was very vocal about it. Heck, I'm pretty sure I wanted Titus to get a chance to prove his worth. The man wasn't getting any younger and does awesome things for the community He deserved it.

Well, the results were clear. Titus was not ready and nowhere near the star fans made him out to be. Whether in the ring or during promos, it was pretty bad. I say that with all due respect because I was right there with others backing him. Not anymore. Unless major improvements are made, the backstage crew (writers) were 100% correct in NOT giving Titus a major spot. Can't blame others on that one.

FastLane & WM33

Time is drawing near. I am planning to attend FastLane in Milwaukee two weeks from tonight, as well as the granddaddy of them all, WrestleMania in Orlando! Oh baby, my hope is to meet up with people before FastLane at a bar/restaurant around 4 or 5pm and then head over to the area after. Just some food and drinks before the event. Then the focus turns to Florida!
