"I honestly think that you are so good (different) at how you approach columns. I know some people take compliments lightly and such, but honestly, you should be a very proud man. Boatloads of people including me, read your columns ALL THE TIME. Me personally, I wake up every morning, and before I go to school, I read your column (I'm 16). Also, your consistency with your columns is amazing, just from reading them so much, I almost feel like I know your thought process (not that I do). So with all of that out of the way, thank you."

WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 Thoughts

Head on over to the 411mania.com column section right now. My FULL WWE Elimination Chamber was posted two days ago. Plus, last week had a bunch of goodness from yours truly. Check out 411 for all of the fun.

Seth Rollins

My assumption is Seth Rollins will be ready to work WrestleMania 33. Usually when a wrestler or athlete goes down with a serious injury, the entire diagnosis in known pretty quickly. Like past WWE announcements on guys/gals getting hurt. The news is made right away. For NBA fans, we just saw this with a Milwaukee Bucks player. Got hurt and not even 24 hours later it was revealed he had a massive injury that required a full 12 months of recovery time. With Rollins, nothing was ever announced or known immediately. Like I said, if it was serious, we would have been informed by now. Credit to WWE for keeping the mystery alive; my guess is he shockingly returns on a Raw episode in March and attacks Triple H (or Samoa Joe). He may be limping and banged up, but WM33 is happening.

Samoa Joe

Speaking of Samoa Joe, this was another topic I wanted to wait on before discussing.

Great debut on RAW. Loved it. We all expected it to happen at the Royal Rumble, but the company decided to wait one more day. Smart move. If he wasn't going to win, why bother? AJ Styles had a similar debut (and phenomenal entrance) in 2016. No reason to repeat that scenario. Let him enter the scene and make an impact from the jump. Rumors last year had him heading to Smackdown, but in recent weeks, the word was RAW for Joe. It was true; Raw is now the home of The Destroyer.

Some are disappointed because that eliminates feuds with AJ Styles and John Cena. Fair enough. There is always the WWE Draft. My counter point is that doing those feuds in the future mean they mean MORE than just doing them now. Let Joe be a monster for awhile...and then have those bouts. Cena and Styles will be here. Don't worry. When WWE wants to give fans those matches, they will. There are plenty of guys for him to beat up on Raw in the meantime, like Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.

All in all, I love the move. His time in NXT was up in late 2016, so this was the next logical step for him. He was SUPER protected in NXT, only losing a few times since mid-2015. Let's hope for the same moving forward. My prediction remains Shinsuke Nakamura is next for a call up (and The Revival) on the Raw after Mania. What an atmosphere that would be...

Bayley

Congrats to Bayley on winning the Raw Women's Championship. Congrats to Charlotte on yet another title run ending on TV. Oh, and in yet another sneaky stat, congrats to the women on main eventing Raw. Again. Well deserved and an awesome moment. Personally, I would have held off on that scene until Mania in Orlando, but maybe WWE has other plans? We'll see. I will say this: I do NOT want Charlotte to regain the title at FastLane. Please don't even think about it.

Jeri-KO Done

Okay, I didn't care for the Kevin Owens/Chris Jericho pairing dating back to last summer. I made that very clear in my columns. It was something thrown together when Owens made it known he wanted to stay on Raw, and everything just got flipped because of Finn Balor getting hurt. People forget that, but he would probably still be Universal Champion had it not been for bad luck.

Even so, we dealt with months of Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens being comedy fools taking up a bunch of television time on Raw. That'd be fine if it was mid-card stuff or kept in small doses, but nope! This was the supposed main event of the entire business and top guys. I don't think so. The List, the word "it" and all that other junk never did it for me. I thought Survivor Series in Canada was the perfect time for them to face off. Rather than going ahead with the teased breakup, WWE dragged it out another two months because Jericho kept renewing his short-term deal. Thus, we arrived at Raw on Monday from Las Vegas...

Chris Jericho was going to proclaim his friendship to Kevin Owens (for the millionth time). You know, nonsensical build up for a HUGE title match against Bill FREAKIN' Goldberg. Well, the problem is Triple H was officially back. Good news for Kevin Owens and his focus. Bad news for Jericho and his silly antics. We saw HHH and Owens talking backstage before the celebration, and you had to know some advice was being handed out.

Later on in the show, we finally got the payoff.

Kevin Owens was done playing games and absolutely destroyed Chris Jericho. He was back to being a bully, a bruiser, a bad SOB who doesn't mess around. Exactly what he needs to be about to face off against Goldberg at Fastlane. Poor Jericho, he was certainly acting more joyous and excited than normal on Raw.

You want to know what I thought of the segment?

I loved it.

Yep, you read that right. I loved it. This was the peak of their story line and one of the only segments I enjoyed from them these past six months. It was a fitting conclusion to the story.

From the dragged out introduction to the wacky gifts to the ridiculous ring setting to the Gillberg cameo (which I knew about in advance) all the way to the EXCELLENT reveal at the end - it was wonderful. I may not have loved their work together since the summer, but this...this...this was gold. I can now look forward to their one on one match, probably at Mania with Owens as the heel and Jericho as the face. Likely for the United States Championship.

WWE can either keep Jericho off television until after FastLane or have him return at the event and cost Owens the Universal Championship. My personal preference would be Jericho does NOT show up at FastLane. Have Owens get crushed in two minutes by Goldberg, thus proving that he DID need Jericho's help all this time to win. Perfect little nugget there; he thinks he is better off without Jericho but isn't. Then you can heat their rivalry up in mid-March. Works fine. Freud over the U.S. Title, while Goldberg defends his newly wold belt against Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania.

WWE Fastlane

The pieces are starting to come together. As most know by now, I will be attending FastLane in Milwaukee. About two weeks away. First WWE pay-per-view in the area in over five years. Getting jacked up for the event. Going to be great.

WrestleMania 33

Same thing as above. Plans are being made as we speak. I will be in Orlando for Mania. A bucket list item will be crossed off. Never attended the grand spectacle before. Can't wait.

Who will be joining me?
