NoDQ.com > Columns > Who should wrestle HHH if Seth is injured?

With reports suggesting Seth Rollins might not be able to compete at Wrestlemania for the second year running the question remains who could take his place to face HHH at Wrestlemania?
The feud with Seth made sense with the big fight at Wrestlemania six months in the making. The reality is can they get some sort of storyline and gain the necessary interest to the same level as the HHH and Rollins feud?
I personally believe if it's not Rollins then there are only a couple of realistic options available.
The first option is Shane O Mac as the seeds are planted through the competition between Raw and Smackdown and the sibling rivalry between Shane and Stephanie. It wouldn't take much to get a confrontation between the two with Stephanie in the middle who could get hurt accidentally setting it up for HHH and Shane to compete at Wrestlemania.
The style of match aswell is suited for both parties with Shane taking high risks to do damage alongside the sadistic and brutal physicality of HHH. Meaning this match could work as it would be limited to a brawl and less technical wrestling. The crowd will be invested by the physical war and we know the depths HHH will go to in order to win just look at his classic feuds with Cactus Jack, Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton. Shane has no fear as seen last year at Wrestlemania with The Undertaker and in the past with Kane and Kurt Angle. Working with a bigger opponent helps him in matches this allows him to do do the high risk manoeuvres and be safe (to some degree).
His style wouldn't work against someone like Aj Styles and I hope they don't toy with the idea of Styles and Shane as Aj deserves a better match at Wrestlemania and someone he can technically steal the show with. After the year Aj has had I'd love to to see him wrestle Orton, Wyatt or Kurt Angle.

Getting back to HHH's opponent if Shane doesn't work out then the only other person I can see working with HHH without too much of a story to develop is The Rock. Remember the segment at Wrestlemania with Ronda Rousey? This could be set up easily and it's a rivalry lasting twenty years settled at the grandest stage of them all. The result wouldn't damage either one and what they have achieved in the business. The crowd would be electric and it would have that big fight feel for Wrestlemania.

If either of these options are not available then does HHH need to be on the card? It already looks to be filled with part timers so maybe give the talent on the roster a chance to shine. HHH will go down in history as one of the greats. Does he need another Wrestlemania moment or is it time to let someone else have their own Wrestlemania moment?!
