"I honestly think that you are so good (different) at how you approach columns. I know some people take compliments lightly and such, but honestly, you should be a very proud man. Boatloads of people including me, read your columns ALL THE TIME. Me personally, I wake up every morning, and before I go to school, I read your column (I'm 16). Also, your consistency with your columns is amazing, just from reading them so much, I almost feel like I know your thought process (not that I do). So with all of that out of the way, thank you."

Most Overrated Wrestler Of 2016

5. The New Day
4. Dolph Ziggler
3. Dean Ambrose
2. Heath Slater/Rhyno

1. James Ellsworth - I don't get it. I didn't get it when he was beat by Braun Strowman back in the summer and wrote nothing about it in my review, barely even noticing the guy at all. I didn't get it when he randomly popped back up on Smackdown. I didn't get it when he started mixing it up in the main event. I didn't get it when he beat AJ Styles (with help from Dean Ambrose or not). I didn't get it when he was the focal point of the show for months at a time. I didn't get it when he was a freakin' mascot in a supposedly important Survivor Series brand battle. I didn't even get the 'heel turn' at TLC, much less him earning a contract to WWE as ratings continued to tank for Smackdown with him overstaying his welcome in the top feud. I just didn't get it. He was Colin Delaney 2016 (Google that nonsense), and thankfully, WWE put a merciful ending to this all last week when AJ Styles destroyed him once and for all. Have fun getting humiliated by Carmella and doing whatever it is you do...

Most Underrated Wrestler Of 2016

5. Brock Lesnar
4. Cesaro
3. Braun Strowman
2. The Miz

1. Roman Reigns - Considering how Roman Reigns ended 2015 (which I wrote about last week), it is a shame that 2016 is the year he officially got the permanent label as being another John Cena who will never get credit. No matter what he does, there will be cynicism and naysayers dragging him down. Sheamus is another guy, to a lesser extent. It's too bad fans make up their mind on somebody and never let go of those feelings, no matter how wrong they and have to eat crow on a consistent basis. Roman Reign has just completed yet another stellar year, full of kayfabe and non-kayfabe achievements that any other wrestler on the planet would love to have. Either it is feeling petty or just pure jealousy, I don't know. Reigns is THE MAN going forward for WWE, and everybody backstage is 100% correct in making that determination years ago. The scary part is the potential has still yet to be fully realized. The sky is the limit for him, and 2017 could easily be better than 2016 for Roman Reigns. Maybe, maybe then he will get the respect he deserves. Believe THAT!

Best Wrestler Of 2016

5. The Miz
4. Brock Lesnar
3. John Cena
2. Roman Reigns

1. AJ Styles - Remember when fans thought AJ Styles would never be signed by WWE? Wrong. Remember when he WAS signed and fans thought he would be stuck in NXT with a new name? Wrong. Remember when fans thought he would be BURIED(!!!!!) because of some false belief of WWE executives? Wrong. Remember when fans went bonkers when he lost a few times in early 2016, despite still being in the main event, and assumed he was headed to the mid-card? Wrong. Remember when fans thought he was being sabotaged by turning heel and wrestling John Cena? Wrong. Remember when fans thought he was going to tossed aside on Smackdown LIVE? Wrong. Remember when fans whined and cried during the Summerslam build assuming John Cena would beat him in their rematch? Wrong. Remember fans said he would still never EVER win the WWE Title due to (again) some BS reasons made up by the internet? Wrong. AJ Styles made a lot of people eat crow in 2016 and deserves every bit of success coming his way. From fans who never cease to amaze me with their negativity to his former employers to even some backstage that were not quite believers, he answered the critics with the best 12 months imaginable. The Royal Rumble debut in January was impactful enough, but that was just the beginning. Feud with Chris Jericho, main events against Roman Reigns, title matches, major pay-per-view victories over Cena, and ends the year leading WWE Smackdown LIVE over RAW in the ratings as the reigning WWE Champion. Phenomenal.
