We open with a graphic for Jimmy Snuka, who passed away. There's a lot of controversy surrounding parts of his life, so it's... weird to see WWE pay such a tribute to him, including the video package.

We’re shown the MLK Jr video package. The video also shows many influential black people throughout history. I think it’s the same video they air every year.

Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring to start the show. He just lost the US Title last week to Chris Jericho in a 2 on 1 handicap match which also featured Universal Champion Kevin Owens. He talks about how in the Shield, they beat up everyone, so he’s used to the numbers game. At RR, it’s him and Owens one on one. Says he’s main eventing WrestleMania for a 3rd time. Paul Heyman interrupts. Typical Heyman promo. Roman cuts him off and says Brock isn’t there with him. Owens and Jericho now interrupt. Jericho says Roman’s losing at RR, that he will win the RR, and then it’ll be best friend vs best friend (Owens vs Jericho). Owens says he’ll be champion no matter who he faces. Seth Rollins is here now. He stakes his claim to win the Rumble and win at WM. Braun Strowman now makes his way to the ring. Now Brock is here. Before he can get to the ring, Sami pops in and now everyone’s fighting. Both Roman and Sami receive German Suplexes. Brock and Braun stare down until Braun backs away, Brock eats a spear from Roman, and a few seconds later, gives Roman an F5.

*Well that was certainly an interesting opening segment. For a moment, I thought the whole roster was going to come out and get promo time.

Rusev (with Lana) and Jinder Mahal vs Enzo and Cass: So, Enzo’s out of the wheelchair now. You’d think after all the beatdowns, Rusev and/or Jinder should have little to no problem taking care of Enzo. He’s really out of place in these tag matches. I can’t suspend my belief for Enzo against anyone other than a Cruiserweight. He should move there IMO. Enzo and Cass get the win after a Big Boot and a Splash.

*I hope this feud is over. It’s hurting everyone involved.

Jack Gallagher seen walking backstage. He’s on commentary for the next match.

Ariya Daivari vs Lince Dorado: Gallagher says he’s scouting his opponent (Daivari) for their I Quit match tomorrow on 205 Live. Short match. Daivari wins by submission with a Cobra Clutch.

We’re shown video of Sasha Banks being evaluated before the show. Nia Jax attacked her knee.

Raw Tag Team Championship: Cesaro and Sheamus vs The Club: Sheamus has Gallows setup for a Celtic Cross, but Anderson breaks it up. Gallows kicks Sheamus to the floor. Cesaro hits the Swiss 1-9 on Anderson, then a Crossbody to Gallows on the outside. Now the Cesaro swing into the Sharpshooter on Anderson, but Gallows connects with a boot to the face. Near fall, as Cesaro grabbed the ropes. Anderson hits the Spinebuster on Cesaro, but Sheamus breaks it up. After miscommunication, Sheamus punches out the referee. Club hits the Magic Killer and another ref makes the 3 count. The original referee reverses the decision, thereby keeping the tag titles on Cesaro and Sheamus. Sheamus receives a Magic Killer afterwards.

There’s a graphic for a 6 man tag match between Reigns, Rollins, and Zayn vs Jericho, Owens, and Strowman.

Sami Zayn is babbling to Seth and Roman for a pep talk, but they just walked away.

Tony Nese vs Rich Swann: Neville attacks Swann just as he enters the ring. He and Swann have a title match at RR. Swann fights back. Now Nese is attacking Swann until Neville pulls him off. Neville throws him out of the ring and kicks Swann in the head.

Neville interviewed backstage. He’s asked why he attacked Swann. He says people perceive him as a bad guy and that everyone’s a hypocrite. Claims he’s winning the Cruiserweight championship at RR.

New Day’s here. They’re hyping up the Royal Rumble and the “Every man for himself” tagline. They say if one member of New Day wins the Rumble, they all win. That’s kind of funny. Titus O’Neil makes his way to the ring. He doesn’t want to be in New Day anymore. He wants to replace them. They say no. Titus tells them to huddle up and decide which one of them loses their RR spot to him. Kofi says if Titus knew the proper time to call a huddle, he’d still be playing football. Big E accepts his challenge.

Titus O’Neil vs Big E: At one point, Titus shoves Xavier to the floor. He hits Big E with the Dominator. That was impressive. Not too many guys on the roster can do that to a guy Big E’s size. Big E fights back and wins with the Big Ending.

*So… what was the point of that feud? Is it over, or is it continuing?

Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring. She says didn’t become PPV Queen overnight. She calls Bayley average. She’s showing a bunch of photos of Bayley meeting some of her favorite wrestlers years ago. Now she’s showing a video of Bayley from 10 years ago, reading a letter about wanting to become a WWE superstar. Now Bayley finally comes. Charlotte calls her an average fan. Bayley says she’s not embarrassed of her passion for WWE. Bayley has a poem for Charlotte:
1. Roses are red, violets are blue. At Royal Rumble, I will defeat you!
2. I can’t help but smile from cheek to cheek at the thought of the look on your face when I break your PPV streak.
3. You call me a child and you say I don’t deserve to walk down that ramp, well in 2 weeks, you can call me your new Women’s champ!”

*Bayley showed a lot of fire in that promo, but she still needs work. She sounds too awkward when she talks. And her poems were wack.

Braun’s backstage and Jericho and Owens want to talk strategy. Owens wants Braun to beat up Roman, Jericho wants him to destroy Seth. Braun says he does what he wants, how he wants, when he wants. Vows to eliminate everyone in the Rumble, and win at WM. He finishes by saying he’s make Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns scream for mercy.

THE Brian Kendrick vs Cedric Alexander: Alicia Fox is no longer with him? Cedric went for a Springboard, and landed on Brian’s head pretty stiff. Now Brian has Cedric in a modified Full Nelson. Cedric fights out of it. Cedric went for a Lumbar Check, and Kendrick countered into the Captain’s Hook. Alicia shows up and pushes the bottom rope towards him to help. He questions her, and Brian kicks him. He goes for another Captain’s Hook, but it’s countered with the Lumbar Check.

Alicia went for a post-match hug, but Cedric left her hanging. O… K…

Nia’s asked about her attack on Sasha. Calls Sasha a wannabe tough girl. Says Sasha’s aura of being “The Boss” is done. She broke “The Boss” and now, people are talking about the right woman.

Package video for the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017: Kurt Angle. I’m happy for him. It’s well deserved. He’s one of the best of all time. It’s good that he’s come back home. I’d prefer if he didn’t have a match, though. Would love to see him as a trainer at least.

Alicia’s asked about Cedric. She says it’s not a big deal and she doesn’t want to talk about it. She’s asked about Noam Dar and angrily repeats herself.

Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, and Braun Strowman vs Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns: Everyone brawls, and it leads to a Roman/Braun stare down. I figure this will be a standard 6 man tag. Nothing really stands out to me. Roman went for a Superman Punch to Braun on the apron, but he caught him and threw him back towards Owens, who connected with a Superkick. Seth and Sami did simultaneous Suicide Dives to Jericho and Owens respectively. Seth tries to take Braun down, but can’t. Sami tries, but can’t. Roman tries, but can’t. Seth kicks him down, flies off the top to the outside onto Jericho and Owens, while Sami hits Braun with a Crossbody. Braun gets the win for his team. He proceeds to carry Sami off towards the announce table. Seth hits him with a chair, and Roman spears him. Seth starts clearing off the table until Jericho and Owens arrive. Owens wants to put Roman through the announce table Shield style until Seth makes the save. He hits Jericho with a Pedigree on the stage. Owens then hits both Seth and Roman with a chair. He PowerBombs Roman through the announce table.
