NoDQ.com > Columns > Wrestle Review: This Is The End
Posted by Andy Sullivan on 12/09/2016 at 07:15 PM

"This is the end, beautiful friend. This is the end, my only friend, the end". Of course that's "The End" by The Doors. Lead singer Jim Morrison wrote the song about breaking up with his girlfriend. I've titled my column as such because I am breaking up with Impact Wrestling.

I had been watching TNA since it's inception of the weekly Wednesday ppv's. Before AJ Styles was P1 WWE Champion, I was watching him tear it up vs. Christopher Daniels for the X Division Championship. The past few years of TNA have been pretty awful. The past few months, almost unwatchable. The past few weeks...well let's just say I decided I could do without. So, I deleted my season pass.

This is the end? I turn that into a question while veering into my next topic. Dean Ambrose lost yet another WWE Championship rematch against the aforementioned AJ Styles. Once again, James Elsworth cost Dean the championship. Two nights later on Smackdown Live, GM Daniel Bryan gave Dean an Intercontinental Championship match against the Miz. Dean lost thanks to a distraction by, you guessed it, James Elsworth.

So I ask: as far as Dean Ambrose the title contender is concerned, is this the end? While it's abundantly clear we're heading for an embarrassing Dean Ambrose v James Elsworth match(I just pray it doesn't happen at Royal Rumble or WrestleMania), will that mean the end for Dean as a serious contender? I think, hope anyway, we're looking at Dean beating and getting rid of the "turtle without a shell" on the way to winning the title again.

This is the end....of my column for this week.
