Where Do We Go From Here?

Well here we are, the day after Wrestlemania. I'm just recovering from my normal Wrestlemania hangover and thought some of the specifics of what happened last night are blurry I still have the feeling that some things haven't been done right last night.

The whole show itself was pretty good. We had a lot of surprises and some really solid matches. The Undertaker and Triple H match for me stole the show. The match had everything required to make a good match, the drama, the near falls, the questioning who will win it and on top of that The Undertaker actually looked pretty good in the match, didn't have much ring rust that I could see.

CM Punk and Jericho was also a great match, I did think it was going to be a little bit better than it actually was but still definitely in the four star region.

Two guys who could have had a show stealer was Daniel Bryan and Sheamus. I have no idea why they would open a show like. I was watching it in a pub in Glasgow, must have been about three hundred people there and there was not one person that seemed happy with the decision to give those two guys such a short match. Last year they got bumped from the card and this year they didn't even get fifteen minutes to go out and steal the show. This may just be them cementing Sheamus as a dominant champion, but they could have had him dominate him during the match.

However one thing happened tonight just before I started writing this article. My nephew who is five and loves wrestling, called me to speak to me about Wrestlemania. First thing he said was “Did you see Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan? That was well the best match.” So to a child who has no knowledge of all the shenanigans of the wrestling world to the degree us in the internet wrestling community, this was a great thing and a brilliant choice and my nephew is the exact kind of person the WWE is trying to market to just now. He loves all the good guys that he is supposed to like (apart from Santino haha) and has loads of merchandise, DVDs and action figures. So maybe WWE have done the right thing here. Make Sheamus look unstoppable from the get go and keep it up from there, I'm sure my nephew would love to see Sheamus with a long title reign.

But now I move onto the Cena and Rock match. Thought it was a great match, I don't believe it makes any sense to have The Rock win. Where the hell does Cena go from here? What did The Rock actually gain from winning that match? I think they've most definitely made the wrong choice here. The only way I can see it making sense is if they are going to turn Cena heel, which I can't see happening any time soon or if The Rock is planning on sticking around for another few matches and even if he does I still think Cena should have got the victory, pass the torch. Andre done it for Hogan, Hogan done if for The Rock and The Rock still holds it because of last night.

I really can't figure out where Cena will go from here. They've had him go on for the last year about how he was going to beat The Rock and I don't know how they can possibly expect us to take him fully serious now that he couldn't get the job done. Maybe they'll pull something tonight though and everything falls into place.

This is where everything kicks off again though and hopefully tonight brings in a few game changers and we get thrown off guard, with the things running around the rumour mills currently hopefully this Raw will be one of the best in a long time. So with that I'll leave you guys to it, only 364 days until we do it all over again.

Cheers!
