Every now and then, the feeling of anger and frustration overtakes even the calmest of people. People lose their ability to cope when things overload. It's like hearing that noise that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. It irritates you. It stimulates your brain and sends it into overdrive. The next thing you know, it's time to let it all out.

Corner to Corner: It's Time to Rant

Welcome back to another edition of Corner to Corner. Last week I talked about why it's important to respect, maybe not like, John Cena because of his contributions and his accomplishments. I got some great feedback from you folks and before I do my thing, I want to thank you for it. It's a great thing when opinions can be formulated intelligently and a fun debate can be had. I hope I was able to answer any questions you had. I will always make it a committment to any readers who send me feedback to respond. It may take me awhile, but I promise I will do it. So, with all that out of the way-

HERE...

WE...

GO!!!

Time to Rant

First off, let's start with the TNA Turning Point pay per view. I want to know who the heck thought it would be a smart move to book so much 'knockout' action on a pay per view. The WWE may not be perfect and they certainly have their own sets of issues with booking, but they have the sense to not book any of that with the exception of maybe one match. Maybe two if they have to. So now we have a knockout grudge match, a knockout tag title match, AND a knockout title match? For starters, the matches WERE boring. I don't care about equal opportunity in this case. The knockout division doesn't interest me and it never will. The fact that women run around, flaunt their breasts and asses, and can't work worth a damn really bothers me. Jay Lethal isn't on the show but we can have 10 knockouts on TV? WHY? Who the hell cares? You know what, this is why people dog TNA for being a BUSH LEAGUE. Dixie, I know you're plugged into the net and you follow what the fans think. Please, do not repeat this nonsense. Do that, OR- and this would be especially nutty, find some women who can work better than a twenty second ass routine! If I wanted to see porn, I'd buy some. If I wanted to see a Nicole Bass looking chick, I'd have watched her when she was on WWE back in the day! I respect Tara and a few others in that division, but I have NO desire whatsoever to see the 'Beautiful Ditzes' or the like run around like uncoordinated chickens with their heads cut off. Train them or FIRE them.

The rest of the show? Well aside from watching the most unrealistic brawl I've ever seen with the botch master himself Scott Steiner, the show was damn solid. Desmond Wolf went hold for hold with Kurt Angle and looked like a champion while doing it. Angle? He hurts his back and STILL works in near flawless form. Man oh man, I have missed this kind of action. All I can say is this, if Desmond is an example of what ROH has to offer, I might try to catch some more of that.

AJ Styles versus Samoa Joe versus Christopher Daniels was perhaps one of the most awesome main events I have ever seen. Any of you who talk with me on Twitter or maybe in some of my favorite rooms on Justin TV know I don't really like Samoa Joe that much. It's not to say he can't work, he can and he does it well. He's just not my favorite. I don't enjoy his particular style, mostly because it seems unrealistic in a world where realism makes a superstar so much bigger than when he plays the superhero. I mean, sure I stuck up for Cena because he's doing what the company wants, but we all know how truly stupid it is when someone gets POUNDED on for the whole match and then miraculously comes back for the win. Joe will normally pound the piss out of someone because he's supposed to be a bully? This is the same reason I cannot stand this new schmuck named Sheamus. The overgrown bully routine is not only stupid, but it's STALE. It doesn't impress anyone. On this night with Daniels and Styles, Joe looked great. The match itself was just action packed. Styles was hammering it out with Daniels. Back and forth with Joe really pushing himself to trade blows with them. It was like their work was art. Really, I enjoyed the high flying technique mixed with the hard hitting strikes. Daniels, in my opinion, needs to be next in line with the World Title. It needs to happen soon by the way, because Hogan will be getting his hands on it at least once and by that point, it could well be all over for the TNA Original members.

So we go from TNA really making a good statement aside from the Knockout crap to a Monday Night RAW for WWE that was a much needed shot in the arm. Rowdy Roddy Piper was a terrific guest host. His mic work and his ability to taunt the heels in the way that only he could really brought me into the show. His work with Vince? It was great as well. I have to say, even though he's out of shape and probably well past the point of a logical return to the ring, Piper vs McMahon could well be a good street fight attraction. I think I'd enjoy that quite a bit. Now, on to what really set me off.

Who the hell is this pale idiot named Sheamus? What kind of crap is this with the crappy Irish gimmick and the bogus bullying of Jamie Noble AKA Jobber to the Stars and the Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler?!?! Here we have a big muscular Test look alike and the only thing I can think of when I see him is 'Here we go again.' The big boot, the power bomb, the inability to speak clearly, it's a FREAKING TEST COPY! AND TEST SUCKED! God rest Andrew Martin's soul, but the wrestler TEST was horrible to watch! Anyhow. This guy Sheamus was awful on ECW. He does have a degree of hard hitting style to him, but he's horrible on the mic and God help us if he ever has to work with a Shawn Michaels or something. I mean what the hell? What's going to happen with this guy is he's going to squash a great worker and have a craptacular fued with them. He'll get beat and fizzle out before he ever sniffs the jockstrap of anything close to a title shot. And why? Because the hard on Vince has for muscle bound freaks will go limp the moment he sees how blown up this guy gets with some legit players. Say what you want about Triple H and Michaels but at least they can work. Now, Hunter wants us to think Sheamus is the real deal. He goes on record and tells us that Sheamus trains with him and studies tape all the time just like he used to do. That's really great Triple H, but unlike you, this guy really does SUCK. He'd be perfect for the swerve you and HBK pulled on Swoggle. A quick burial for a neverwillbe wrestler.

Who else cheered when the midget got dropped? I know I did. It was about time they put a stop to it and I hope this is a sign of things to come. At Survivor Series, I'd love to see HBK be the guy to come out with the belt. It'd work even better if he went heel and beat the piss out of both Cena and HHH. I mean seriously, we all know Cena can go heel and they'd be the predictable thing to do. Triple H has been the heel. We already know what that's like. But Michaels? Imagine seeing this guy really go all out on a heel turn and making himself the focus. How awesome would it be to see Shawn Michaels on top of the wrestling world one more time for a true run as the top heel? Imagine that! A heel who can work with everyone and actually have a good match! Damn WWE, that hasn't happened since Jericho was on top! I mean, C.M. Punk comes off pretty good, but his best work has always been as the face in my opinion. And the Undertaker is, well the Undertaker... Michaels as the top heel makes sense on RAW and this would maybe give Orton a chance to learn a bit more. Maybe that's what he needs is a chance to see that a match can be good when it's not just a brawl. Spots planned right can make all the difference. Orton working with Kofi Kingston only serves to help both men improve in a time where the WWE desperately needs to get some new blood on top. Who better to lead the way than a reliable worker who can show these new folks how to tell a story and have a match that folks talk about for years to come? It's about time things started making sense and I for one say the time is NOW!

I hope this isn't too short but this week I had to get some things off my chest. Who knows? From time to time I might make this part of my normal deal. As it stands right now, I think we the fans deserve a better brand of action. It has to be something that makes us take notice and what better way than to draw clear lines in the sand? The PG rating sure could go away to help the cause as well. I mean, really it's a show that airs at 9pm! Who the hell cares if there's blood or cuss words? If you're letting your children watch this without monitoring and being the responsible parent who makes sure they understand fact and fiction, then you're the moron who should be held accountable. Kids do things to get attention because their parents aren't doing their jobs. I'm a parent of two and both of my kids love to get in trouble so they can get myself or my wife to pay attention to them. The root issue is what makes us have to adjust how we handle things and look at what they really need. If we just ignore it and let our kids do whatever they want, IT IS OUR FAULT! So if I were to let my oldest watch WWE and I didn't make sure she understands what's right and wrong and real or fake then it's my fault if she goes out and kicks someone in the head like Randy Orton does. Wake up and stop asking television to raise your kids! Let them do their shows the way they need to.

So hey, I figured I'd let you know that you can check me out on Twitter. Monday nights I post my thoughts on the action. I try to do so during Smackdown and ECW when time permits, but I always have something on PPVs and Monday nights. You can look up ImpactXtreme on Twitter, that's me. Please feel free to check me out there and send me any feedback you might have. My address is listed up top. I do thank you for your time and I'll catch you next week!
