This time, it will be a series of topics going on that are relevant and hopefully will interest you.

Here we go!


HOGAN IN TNA
I think that this will bring TNA a good leverage, however, TNA has a long way to go as far as making a unique product. They have the star power, for now, and they are making some more stars as the months go on, however, they are becoming like a WWE-light, in my opinion.

Hogan being there, I hope his expertise will hopefully bring benefits and not cause TNA to turn into a self-absorbed and absurd promotion like WCW devolved into during the Monday Night Wars. I like TNA as a different product, an alternative to the commercialized WWE or the raw talent of a ROH, and I want them to succeed and learn the mistakes of past doomed promotions and I think they can get there. The Hogan factor is too early to praise or damn right now.


THE WWE HALL OF FAME
There has been talk on who could make it into the 2010 Hall of Fame. Notable names include Ted DiBiase Sr. and Ron Simmons (Faarooq). I think that is cool, and personally I would want Ted Jr. and JBL to induct them, if that is the case, respectively of course. Last year, for me, it was great to see the first superstar I fell in love with, Stone Cold Steve Austin, get inducted.

Additionally I’m hearing: The Road Warriors, Slick, and Demolition. That would make for a strong roster going in, with the Million Dollar Man leading off. I’m still bummed that there is not a induction of Bruno Sammartino…one day hopefully...not holding too long though.
Hopefuls for this year could also be Ultimate Warrior, Honky Tonk Man, and Jake “the Snake” Roberts.

For the next two to three years, I would personally like to see The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and The Rock inducted.

I would even think a Diva should get inducted soon, and I think Trish Stratus could get a legit chance to get in the hall, considering her popularity and crossover appeal, Women’s Championship reigns, and good, consistent matches (including a few TV main events… remember a Raw w/ Trish vs. Lita and The Rock as special ref?).


FIVE DOLLAR PPV HIKE FOR 2010
The thing with this plan is that, the WWE plans to remove a PPV from 2010, allowing a month and some weeks layover, which will help the creative in developing and realistically, if you don’t order the events consistently, you won’t notice its gone.

Now with an extra $5 per events outside of WrestleMania, they need to be quality cards of interesting matches. I want a PPV that will give me a match that I would not be able to see on television. I want a PPV that has real progression of a storyline. I want a PPV that shows the all out action that a Raw, Smackdown or ECW cannot provide. I want to feel like my extra money is going into something worthwhile.

To that effort, the WWE should never give away big match-ups on TV. They also should space out the pay-per-views to create a sense of loss and increase the demand. Moreover, I think the “theme” events should be axed. If it isn’t Royal Rumble or Survivor Series….or even an attempt to revive King of the Ring… No thank you. (LOL)

I think the product needs to improve to justify increasing the prices and we’ll have to wait until 2010. I think they can do better because I was not impressed with their big events, WrestleMania 25 and SummerSlam 09, where one was so-so and the other was decent…I want consistency as a paying customer and as a fan.
