Posted by Bobby Lendzinski on 10/31/2009 at 08:40 AM

Tommy Dreamer has been in the business a long time now. He has put in his time in the business (20 years on October 29th of this year) and in the WWE (8 years this past July).

Believe it or not, he has held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship only twice in his career. The first was when he defeated Taz at CyberSlam 2000 (April 22, 2000), only to lose it back that same night to Justin Credible.

The second just recently ended. It started on June 7, 2009 when he defeated Christian, who was the ECW Champion, and Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Match at Extreme Rules. It ended on July 26, 2009 at Night of Champions to Christian.

It's a shame, in my opinion, that Tommy Dreamer has not been utilized well. He should have held the original ECW Title more than once and should have been the first ECW Champion when it was reintroduced.

I think Tommy Dreamer could hold the WWE Championship just once. He could feud with Randy Orton. After all, he is a better wrestler than John Cena. He can get the crowd going just by pounding his chest: "E-C-W".

The question may just be though, does he want that? Does he even want to hold the Intercontinental or United States Championship in the WWE? He just signed a multi-year deal, but does this 38 year old want to move off of ECW? Would he make it on Raw or Smackdown?

We may never know, but just imagine Tommy Dreamer vs Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title or Tommy Dreamer vs Jack Swagger for the United States Championship.

So let me ask you:
Do you think Tommy Dreamer could be moved to Raw and have a serious feud with Randy Orton for the WWE Championship or moved to Smackdown and have a serious run with the World Heavyweight Championship?

Would you want to see Tommy Dreamer hold the top title in the company? Or even one of the mid-card titles? Should he hold the Unified Tag Team Titles? If so, who should be his tag team partner.

As always, send me your comments, questions, or suggestions by emailing me at bobbyl.nodq@gmail.com.

Thank you,
Bobby L

PS, I am still working on my articles on Bobby Heenan and the Mid-Card Title scene.
