Now don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of TNA, and hardly ever watch these days, only every once in awhile, but I have a hard time because they make me so depressed with how much potential they have and yet they keep doing everything the wrong way, I’ve given up on it and have mostly stopped watching because I can’t really handle it anymore and have given up hope on it. I decided I’d watch this PPV though, to see what they could turn out, and they’ve really let me down once again. This PPV showcases everything they do RIGHT and everything they do WRONG perfectly.

Today’s topic: TNA.

This isn’t a pay per view any more than it is a review of what TNA is. This PPV was the perfect showcase of TNA, which is why I’m choosing it to talk about. Overall, it wasn’t a bad ppv, for TNA it was pretty good. It’s up there with some of the more Average WWE PPV’s, not the good ones though mind you, it still doesn’t touch them by a longshot.

It started off with the exact way it needed too, the explosive Elimination match. This match was very good. The world X cup is really one of the main times to enjoy TNA, because it usually puts forth some very good matches, and is always entertaining to see.

Gail Kim Vs Angelina Love was kinda bland, if you ask me. Also a little bit short, nothing special at all.

Sonjay Dutt Vs Jay Lethal was another match that wasn’t too bad, it could have used some work though, and the stuff with SoCal Val at the end kinda felt really pointless and took away from the match some.

LAX VS Beer Money, not too bad but that’s about it.

Taylor Wilde VS Awesome Kong, an okay match, I would’ve preferred Kong to have won though, and I could have really done without the ending.

Ultimate X match, now this match is what would be making TNA different and very interesting if they put a lot more focus on these types of guys, and these matches, rather than acting like their not important at all. This is what first attracted my attention to TNA a couple of years ago, in 2005 and 2006, when TNA was actually very good, and not the complete mess it is these days. This match is the perfect showcase of what they should be doing a lot more of. Let these guys into the ring and let them go.

Full Metal Mayhem was ok, not much special here either.

Then the main event…this is where everything that TNA is, is shown. This match wasn’t that bad overall, but the main downfall of it was the clustered horrible, godawful terrible, horrible, evil ending. They should have let Joe turn heel, they should have let him go insane, and let out all that intensity, they did for a moment and it was extremely awesome, and it showed what makes Joe so interesting, but then they proceeded to throw feces upon it with having Sting interrupt, and Booker T ‘steal’ the title. This completely ruined everything, and it’s things like this that make me dislike TNA. They have so much talent, they could be doing so much, they have such an awesome roster, and yet when they start going somewhere good they RUIN it with crap like this.

I don’t know WHO comes up with this type of stuff, but they need FIRED and IMMEDIATELY, if TNA ever plans on competing legitimately with WWE. If they didn’t do this and would’ve let Joe complete his heel turn and become the badass he was back in 2005/6, I’d forgive the fact that they brought out his title run over a year too late, and that Joe has completely no momentum going for him right now as champion, but noooo, the small amount of momentum he had going for him was completely gone as soon as Sting interrupted, and then having Booker T ‘take’ the title really just completely put a nail in the coffin of his title run, it’s a complete failure now because of that. They’ve tried this storyline a billion times with the FoF cases, and with the X Division title, and I’m sure there’s more, and it has failed every single time and has only created confusing, and really put a bad mark on these talented wrestlers for them to have participated in such a terrible storyline. This is completely unacceptable, I had hope when the PPV wasn’t doing anything all that terrible until that last moment, it killed my last bit of hope.

TNA is not wrestling, TNA is a circus.

TNA is why we can’t have nice things.
