Wow, just friggin’ wow. In just less than two weeks WWE has changed their whole landscape COMPLETELY, and for once, it’s a wonderful sight. Things haven’t been shaken up this much since….I don’t even remember when.

Today’s Topic: Night of Champions, Punk/RAW and More

Night of Champions was okay. Not all that great, but not bad either, it just felt like it was lacking a lot definitely, on to the match reviews.

Morrison & Miz VS Finlay & Hornswoggle:
This match wasn’t that bad, certainly could have been better though.

Matt Hardy VS Chavo Guerrero:
This match was another just alright one, my main problem with this one is that it was boring, perhaps that’s because of Chavo’s usual lack of charisma, but who knows. I feel it could have been better, also.

Mark Henry VS Kane VS Big Show:
This match surprised me. A lot. It was actually a very good match, and that surprised me. Glad to see Henry finally has a title though, he hasn’t had one since…..when? Ever? Either way, these three definitely put on a good match, and that was surprising.

Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes VS Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly:
I am one of the only ones that didn’t see this turn coming from a mile away, maybe I was hoping it wouldn’t be that obvious, but alas, I was wrong. This wasn’t really a match but it was a nice segment, I personally was hoping it would go on a little longer, and let us see what DiBiase could do in the ring, before Cody’s turn came. But either way, I’m actually liking the two as a tag team, they have this awesome stuck up charisma that gives them an interesting twist. Also, Cody’s actually getting good at promo’s now, his one on RAW the next night wasn’t bad at all.

Kofi Kingston VS Chris Jericho:
This match was good, but not as good as it SHOULD have been. Kofi definitely surprised me, I didn’t see him coming and even WINNING at all. Glad to see Kofi has a title now, and for 24 hours, Kofi was the top man on RAW. That was awesome.

Mickie James VS Katie Lea Burchill:
This match wasn’t all that bad, either. A little bit bland but not too bad.

Edge VS Batista:
This match surprised me also, it was actually very good, also. But the fact that I’m sick of seeing Edge/Batista/Undertaker variants really held me down on this match a little, I’m glad to know that this one will hopefully be the last between these two for years.

Triple H VS John Cena:
This match wasn’t as good as a lot of people seem to think it was. Of course it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t up to par with their previous match a couple of years ago. Though I was very shocked at seeing Triple H win, that was very interesting, and I was definitely wondering how they’d fix that. I was thinking Punk would cash-in that night but, he didn’t.
And that’s my Night of Champions thoughts, wasn’t a bad show overall but could have been better.

Then RAW…RAW surprised the crap outta me. I didn’t suspect Punk to win that at all. But I’m definitely glad to see it, I love when surprises like that happen, that’s what wrestling is all about. A lot of people complain about how CM Punk won it, but personally, I think ti was a brilliant move and made it seem like plain payback to how Edge has used his MITB twice in the past, think Cena and Undertaker. The rest of RAW turned out great, also. The only thing I didn’t like, was Cena’s involvement in it all, it really overshadowed Punk as champion, if you ask me.

Also, ECW wasn’t too bad, so far I’m really enjoying Henry as champion, and the Finlay/Hardy/Horny VS Miz/Morrison/Chavo match was pretty good. I don’t really care for this new Atlas Ortiz guy so far, but we’ll see how that changes over time, also glad to see that Armando is finally getting chances to wrestle, though ECW could’ve definitely used more Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne.

Really interested to see how Smackdown turns out, and also really hope WWE continues with the new direction their going in, I’m really enjoying it.
