Thank you to someone who approved of my match choices and sent me these AMAZING matches to add to the list:
U.S Express (Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo) against the Hardys
Chris Jericho vs CM Punk (winner take all [IC & MITB])
Batista vs Big Show
Chavo, Edge, Ryder, and Hawkins vs The Hardys, Kane, and Undertaker
US Champion MVP vs Challenger Matt Hardy (Last Man Standing)
Undertaker vs Kane vs Orton (Hell in a Cell)
Tag Champs John Morrison & The Miz vs Kofi Kingston & CM Punk vs The Hardys vs Colin Delaney & Tommy Dreamer (elimination)
Now... that being said... not everyone is as approving. I received the following email:
"those are horrible matches, and i really wudnt wanna see any of them ...
why dyu wanna see Kahli in so many matches, he cant wrestle ....
plus, i know orton and cena were good together tht time on raw but cmon, it wont happen again, its face and heel
idiot"
Hmm... okay. First, I would say that the post was titled 10 Matches I Want to See & not 10 Matches EVERYONE wants to see. If one of them actually happens and you don't wanna see it... DON'T WATCH!
Next... as to why I put Khali in so many matches. I know he can't wrestle. I would like to see him face as many big men as possible BECAUSE he can't wrestle. When he came in, the WWE tried to paint a picture of him as the most dominant big man ever just because he is huge and ugly. I think that's BULLSH*T. I think that if he faced enough men who were closer to his stature, perhaps the brass would get a clue and he would fade away never to be seen again (until they remake Princess Bride or something...).
Regarding Orton & Cena- With the right conditions, a face & heel tag team could be an awesome thing for RAW. They hate eachother but succeed in spite of themselves, both obsessed with winning. Here's a stipulation- for any match that one or the other purposely loses, walks out on, etc., the jilted partner gets to select an opponent and stipulation for a match later that night... As in, Cena could put Orton in a Lumberjack Match for the WWE title with The Big Show or Umaga or maybe a Handicap match against Show, Umaga, Khali, and anyone else he could think of.
This wasn't about what was LIKELY to happen. It was about matches that I thought would be interesting to see in the ring. Because Orton and Cena worked so well in the ring together, I WOULD LIKE to see the matches I listed. Because Khali sucks and I want nothing more than to see him leave, I WOULD LIKE to see him in matches that prove that he's not even close to being the top big man in this business. Personally, I would like to have seen Khali have to job to Floyd Mayweather or Brian Kendrick or hell, bring back Funaki!! But that won't happen, if only because he would seriously injure one of them.
Again, matches I WOULD LIKE to see and matches that I AM LIKELY to see are two different things.
